What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hello All. So back to Friday. Breakfast is always a slice of HiLo toast, good butter, lots of tea. Salad lunches are mow reinstated and Friday was slice ham, hardboiled egg, little gem leaves, cucumber and 3 cherry toms and spoon of coleslaw. Supper was teriyaki baked salmon with broccoli. Couple of Tanqueray blackcurrant gin and soda.
Saturday same brekkie. Lunch was same salad as Friday minus the egg, plus a few silverskin pickled onions. Last night was a lazy dinner of supermarket Tikka Masala, onion bhajees and cauli rice. High FBG but expected.
Today having snacky lunch out with son & GF and this evening roast chicken with green veg. May be a couple of gins & soda involved!
@Rachox sorry for your sad loss and it was good you were able to toast her memory with carrot cake. @Riva_Roxaban I now have serious bbq envy, wow!

I think I'll call a private surprise pyjama party and retire to my bed early with a book, lots of dogs(*), two cats, a generous amount of marmitey walnuts, a bowl of yoghurt, some pork scratchings and aioli, and the last of the chocolaty nut squares.

*After all, I already had two sleepover dogs for a week from a friend who's on holiday, and today my neighbour added his dog as well, as he's unexpectedly away for the weekend.
And I've never heard of needing vitamins at a party, so I think I'm all good!
Sounds like something that would happen at @Antje77 ’s place!

(I’ll get my coat)…..
How did you know?!

And a glorious lickdown it was too!
Yoghurt and aioli have been licked by all party goers (including the cats, who arrived at the party after the group photo was taken), pork scratchings have been scrunched, and I even saved the chocolaty nut squares for today, the nuts, pork scratchings and yoghurt were enough. :)

Yesterday (March 19th)

Breakfast (9am): None
Snack (10:30am): 0% greek yogurt and "keto granola", black coffee
Lunch (12pm): Turkey meatballs
Snack (3pm): None
Dinner (8pm): Beef burger patty with cheese, button mushrooms stuffed with sausage
Evening Snack (10pm) - Handful of peanuts, two low carb beers

Walked 6.44km yesterday to bring my YTD total to 312.97km.

Hoping to behave today but we will be eating at a restaurant for lunch today after church with my wife’s family. Always feel embarrassed ordering something “weird” :(

Didn't get around to making fish cakes yet so had one slice of toast - a bit less insulin than last time - with liver pate (it's there in the fridge, just waiting to be used).

I will make the fish cakes - I have already cooked some onion and some butternut squash to mix with the fish and kale and will do the rest in a while, so that will be a 2nd meal today. Probably be too much for one meal, so will cook and keep some to reheat tomorrow.

Hi everyone. Beautiful day but wrap up! Black coffee for bf. (Milk is too many carbs and cream gives me the collywobbles) so in future black coffee. Midday meal pork belly slices plus peppers. Tonights meal is 2 boiled eggs and 2 buttered Ryvitas. Snack, Ive had 2 squares of my choc. Ive found my tastes are changing, not so much a sweet tooth anymore which can only be a good thing.

Have you tried one of the nut milks? I like coconut milk if I don't want black.

Had a bit of a feast today in the form of two meals and a decent portion of pistachios inbetween. Confirmed that no further visits to M&S for crackers will be necessary.

Lunch was pork chops with buttered Savoy cabbage.

Dinner - two courses. First was pork rillettes with M&S crackers. Will eat the remaining rillettes with a spoon or crispy bacon as a vehicle. Crackers too cardboardy for me. Second course was smoked streaky bacon wrapped Halloumi fries.

Bed 6.8 FBG 6.4. Lovely day today. Boys were dropped off about 11am and they had managed to behave. Got Mum & Dad after swimming so order restored at my home. I think the eldest will make it through staying over on Tuesday night. Anxiety has been quite something to deal with.

supper: 2 slices of keto chefs bread, some pistachios
90% lindt

For some reason today have eaten lots but still ended up with a smaller carb total than usual! Probably eating more due to feeling tired from battling the shoppers in Leeds yesterday (first time since covid) . Much remorse;):arghh:after eating breaded chicken with fries, plus 2 Hotel Chocolat mochas in between shops (although the extra carbs probably explain the tiredness)!!

Sister went home with my pack of HC 85% batons by mistake, probably just as well.....
