What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you. We have to ring at 2pm to find out how she got on. Our vet is very good and I know they will take good care of her.
Hope all goes well with Poppy. They probably won't need to use much unaesthetic to remove a tooth. Let us know how she goes on. Best wishes.

Thank you - yes you are right that it is a quick op so not too much anaesthetic. Have just had a call from the vet. She is recovering well and we are to pick her up later this afternoon. They had to take several teeth out but they say she will be fine and will be able to eat without the teeth.
Mr K is thinking of going to the vet next time he needs the dentist as it is really difficult here to see a dentist.

Good to hear all went well. Relief for you and I suspect more than a little pampering for Poppy to come.:)

Good morning everyone from a bright and clear sky start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
Yesterday was all about rain so a nice cool day and the gardens got a good watering. Best entertainment was the smart looking Volvo AWD SUV on the beach. Somebody hadn’t remembered the tide times it seems but the car did get a good wash both inside and out. We forgot to watch CH4 last night - oh dear! Still, the sun still works and the planet still turns and the fuel bills continue to rise. My sister tells me that it was 42 degrees yesterday where she lives in France. Her poor cat could not find anywhere to get comfortable apart from on a marble topped table. My parents told me that they stayed indoors, windows open and shutters closed. Harbinger of things to come next week so take care with pets and put out lots of water for wildlife. @Krystyna23040, hope Poppy is now happily taking advantage of all pampering.
Art bit, just the beginnings of a couple of trees. Stay safe. I shall make koffy and then open windows and doors.

Good morning everyone, yesterdays post has gone missing - never mind. Visit to the physio went well and next appointment set. Exercise regime in place. Another recipe for a low carb, whole wheat loaf - psyllium husk - so no. Brother in Law round today to fit some new doors - five. Current doors and hinges removed yesterday and door frames painted in preparation. Mrs Miggins has decided that the charger for the cyclonic dust spreader needs moving into the hall cupboard but there is no socket. I have found a candidate socket on the downstairs ring where I can take a spur - you know, you think that wires and screwdrivers are things best left in the past. But no. My membership of the British Psychological Society lapsed years ago so I can’t even certify myself, never mind a new bit of wiring.
Art bit - I had added some shading yesterday (the missing portrait of a tree) - but yesterday added a hint of blossom. Have a wonderful day. Don’t forget to watch the CH4 programme about the Missing Enid Blighton script, Five Practice Telling Fibs. Best drink some koffy.

Why take a car on to sand? Always trouble...
My windows and doors have been open since dawn @dunelm
Great beginnings for your trees...

Fbg...not bad since I have eaten carbs and vegetarian while daughter was here...7.8
Back to non-vegetarian and virtually no carbs.

Daughter wending way back home after a couple of days in London first.

Creative is my painting of daughter yesterday, while she had her head down painting. She had long dark eyelashes when she was born and still has them.

Time for an umpteenth cuppa...

Good morning everyone on the eve of the heatwave. @dunelm such fun on the beach and thanks for the art. @gennepher enjoy the umpteen cuppas. Thanks for sharing the painting of your daughter it is a real blessing to have the gift of being able to capture her in the way you have rather than a photo. Take care everyone and stay hydrated.

Poppy definitely is taking advantage of all pampering. She was still woozy and crying last night so we brought her into our bed. She was so happy. We have warned her that it was for one night only.

5.0 this morning - which is surprising after a very disturbed night. How can such a small Labrador take up so much of the bed.

Poppy is still a bit woozy this morning but.managed to eat all her breakfast.

Cool and very green with verdant growth here in North Cumbria after the rain. Hard to believe it will be hot soon?

Lovely painting of your daughter, thanks for sharing

Imho the channel 4 beauty contest last night was not impressive. One of the men portrayed himself as a knight in shining armour, the other as a supercilious little man. The safe pair of hands amongst the women appeared be Liz Truss.
Brexit got rid of all the good Conservatives..

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, two very good paintings today hats off to @gennepher and @dunelm thanks for sharing your talents.
An impressive 6.7 on that meter this morning.
My reading this morning was that impressive I decided to get out early on my motorcycle and head out west for the Savernake forest area to hunt for vegan bacon sarnies, after a good little ride on my steed I found a sarnie hiding in its lair and consumed it there and then, washing it down with a koffy.
Also out hunting were two very hairy bikers with their choppers works of art, not my sort of thing, but these choppers or trikes cost a large fortune, but I would prefer to spend that amount of money on a large herd of bacon sarnies.
Stay safe stay cool and have you got your hosepipe ban on order?
