What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Got very hungry yesterday late afternoon so had a Lorne slice with a couple of streaky rashers and a couple of fried eggs. Didn't feel very full, but it kept me going. Must be the extra activity making me more hungry. Still on the pain killers and so kind of tired, but have managed to put more washing on. I will be having some strawberries and cream shortly. That will keep me going until at least mid-afternoon. That's after my hairdresser comes to shear the mop on my head.

One proper meal today and it will be some more Lorne sausage and bacon in an omelette with some cooked tomatoes and onion.

Got seriously behind again!
Back to Wed all I can remember is supper was a very nice Bolognese with green beans. Brekkie is always a slice of LC toast and copious tea. Thurs lunch was 3 scrambled eggs and supper was chunky cod fingers and mixed Med veg.
Today (Friday) lunch was a small Greek salad plus 2 mini fritatas.
Supper will be Moules Marineure, lots of them!

Thursday - brunch small piece of cheese with lots of home-grown cucumber. Dinner steak and salad with small glass of red wine. Just started the wine again this week after 10 months' teetotal. Today - brunch of lumpy soup - beef stock, courgettes, leeks, mushrooms, turmeric, chili pepper powder, vegetable stock cube, olive oil. Dinner will be roast lamb and home-grown runner beans.

Couldn't get to sleep last night... food too rich maybe?
So missed actual breakfast as had to walk dogs before heading to a market.
Ended up with cooked turkey slices from a butchers shop. Yum and very filling at about 10:30
Sadly the stall where I had brought some very tasty flavoured seeds last week wasn't there, but the quality secondhand stall was. Nice White Stuff dress for £10.
Mid afternoon 1 cold sausage and a mini icecream
Lovely dog walk along a beach, but it was tough on the legs as the shingle was soft and deep.
D: 95% sausages and salad with tatsiki made from hm yoghurt. 1 glass wine and soda. Yoghurt with chopped 70% chocolate

Got lots of groceries and other stuff today.
Usually I swim two mornings a week, and do the shopping afterwards but no swimming groups during the holidays so I end up wondering why there's so little food to choose from in my kitchen. :bag:

I had no idea what I wanted to eat the next couple of days but I bought enough to be able to make different meals, and feed the guinea pigs as well. :)

Got back after 7PM, didn't feel like cooking, but I also bought tasty sandwich fillers so I had two slices of low carb bread with a decadent amount of toppings instead. One slice with butter and Serrano ham, half a slice with store bought smoked fish/mayo and half a slice with store bought guacamole. Which of course is ridiculous but the ingredients were ok with 85 % of avocado. Still, my own tastes better, but the up side is that I didn't have to make it, which is a win sometimes!

Bit jealous of my dogs. First my house smelled of pizza because neighbour-in-the-garden has his electric oven in my barn, which is attatched to the house, and an hour later the dogs were happily munching away on a pizza slice IN MY BED!
I suppose neighbour wanted to give the leftovers to the chickens and turkeys, but the dogs were quicker! :hilarious: Lucky them!

1030hrs B scrambled egg with chirzo and rashers
1400hrs L smoked coley in a smoked pepper and cream sauce with cheese cauliflower, broccoli and few peices of carrot
1830hrs D hm slider burgers no bun with asparagus and courgette
Smash of handfull of brazil nuts

Just finished an early meal of bacon bits in scrambled eggs on top of a Lorne slice. Not full, but quite satisfied. I had it early because Em is due to spend most of the day with me while her mum does laundry deliveries and collections all over the Island.

I will be giving her lunch but shan't have any myself - that's why I wanted to eat before she came. She'll probably be here until her dad finishes work - about 5 pm, so we'll probably do some baking, which she loves to do when here. It's her second preference after playing games on my tablet - usually curled up in my bed.

I don't intend to have a second meal but no guarantees. Might prepare a pot of stovies (made with squash rather than potato) just in case.

Edited to add: Stovies are cooking on the hob right now and, as an experiment, I added some quartered radishes. They are pretty peppery raw, but once cooked they usually calm down a bit.

Any thoughts to save my meal?

I had a mean nasty hypo just when the kitchen timer rang.
I did manage to go downstairs to turn off the gas but nothing more. Rather stupid too, vision started shimmering, I should have just left it cooking instead of navigating the stairs.
But hey, I'm still here, but instead of perfectly timed food I now have two lukewarm and very hard boiled eggs, and a large portion of also lukewarm runner beans, cooked way too long.

The idea was to have the runner beans cooked al dente, with mashed eggs with butter and a generous scoop of the smoked fish/mayo stuff.
So what can I do to have a tasty meal still? I don't really want to have the same thing but lukewarm and with the beans cooked to death...
Does anyone know something tasty and quick with overcooked runner beans?

Problem solved!

I used the eggs and the smoked fish stuff in a salad of endive, tomato and onion, and tomorrow I'll do some experimenting to find out if creamy runner bean soup is any good/ :)

I've been sitting high for a while but decided to ignore it. I'm back to more normal readings during the day now and mornings are settling. I came to the conclusion the heat was affecting me but getting back to Aqua and swimming has definitely made a difference.

I went a bit rogue today and had a small banana, on cinnamon toast for late breakfast, with black coffee.
Two hours later BG was 5.0. :) So I got away with it, as after 3 hours it was 4.8.
I just drank coffee and water throughout the day.
Dinner at 7pm was charcutrie, cheese, and iced coffee. Will fast until late morning tomorrow. Then will eat lots of keto style meaty, eggy stuff. Just in that sort of a mood.;)

B: yoghurt, seeds and 6 raspberries. 1 hard boiled egg.
Dog walks
L: 2 lovely local cheeses and a bit of salad. 3 seedy crackers with pate. Too much 70% chocolate and 1 proper ginger biscuit.
Napped for over an hour!
D: 2 lamb kofta, cauliflower and broccoli with tatsiki. 1 small ice cream and 1 glass white with lots of soda
