What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. Bedtime 9.5, fbg at 3.10 am 7.6. Feeling very tired and still out of sorts so I suppose that kind of reading is to be expected. Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Should know better but I was helping son to dig a foundation trench for a retaining wall yesterday. I know at 69 and with stenosis of the neck not the wisest course of action but I didn't want my OH to pick up the pick again, when he tried it the other day you could hear his Asthma breath from across the garden. (When did age creep up on us I wonder) Anyway, I was in a bit of pain last night and didn't sleep so well so that's my excuse for my FBG of 6.0 this morning after having a lovely 5.1 yesterday. Head needs a rest so I will be employing Sabbath day rules today. Enjoy your day folks. :)

7.2 this morning . Day of 6's yesterday nothing lower. I may of had more than my usual nut and chocolate treat last night with SMALL glass of wine ;) as a weekend treat . @PenguinMum I'm waiting on a trial cgm to see what my levels are like throughout the night . A very sunny sunday enjoy your day folks

@Ryhia , I feel your pain, and understand how we mums want to help our children. Similar age, similar joint pains. Not going to weild the hammer though. Waiting for the transition when our offspring start to look after us, but dreading it too.
@Estragon, still happy for you having found a way to manage BG, drastic though that might be. I am struggling to get out of the sticky sixes again. 6.4 today, hence it is a case of delayed gratification for the Sunday cooked breakfast. Extending fast until late afternoon.

As I self fund I only use it for trends when I am on holiday or any event out of the ordinary and this time because I am trying to see why my FBG is so high. Hope it helps you in the same way, when it comes!

Missed posting another couple of days. Again yucky numbers anyway.

This morning FBG 9.9 before bed a mess. It was a lovely 5.9 2 hours after dinner then by bed it was 12.8/16 or 14 (i washed hands and checked 3 times because i was shocked). Took a correction and stayed up to make sure it kicked in (it did at 8.1) then the 9.9FBG ugh.

Anyone else have a patch of great numbers during the day then rubbish overnight and in morning (like a DP that starts at 9pm )

@RoughcutAU - Aw, that’s horrid. This condition is so difficult to get a handle on. I really don’t know how sharing my numbers will assist you as they aren’t what your wanting, near but not an overlap? Moving forward how’s your overall HBA1C doing? How’s your medication, if you’re taking? I don’t see you’ve created a signature, please read mine.

What I will say is that since monitoring, 2019, I have had some awful, nonsensical data, have felt truly depressed and have come here for some support and ideas to control my carbostiens. Take heart and move forward - none of this is straightforward. Diet, DATA, exercise and medication - don’t think I’ve missed anything out? Oh yeah, keep posting here :).

Thanks Estragon.

Appreciate the chin up. I really shouldn’t complain too much my HBA1Cs are good and control-time in range usually good too. Guess I still have alot to learn only being a year in. Im used to the occassional hiccup - just not a weeks worth.

Type 1 on basal/bolus regiment.

@RoughcutAU - You’re welcome. Please stay here, if you wish, but this is a type 2 Forum. Maybe you’d get more feedback and support on a T1 Forum. Only a year in? I don’t know what this means, being a T2 Diab. What was your HbA1c?

Mod edit: thread is in Diabetes Discussion sub forum, and open to all to record fasting blood glucose, with some chat.

Morning All. 8.1 at 0715 but Libre tells me at 0500 I was 6. But I don’t want to get up then so maybe my DP is kicking in earlier and earlier. Daytime levels are 4-6 between meals. I wonder if the heat affects it and I tend to go to bed earlier too.
This really is a conundrum. Take care all.

I broke the sticky sixes. Not exactly turning cartwheels with joy. Horrific 9.1 this morning.Rechecked 10 mins later. 9.4.
Off for a bit of a sulk, then going for a long walk.

@RoughcutAU , is indeed welcome here, though specific T1 advice could well be found in some of the T1 subforums.
