you are doing really well.6 this morning at 6:30am so getting there - having about 8 hours sleep at the mo so I think that is helping but think I may be lacking vitamin b6 so blood test due next week aswell as hbalc
Wow @gennepher -:I am really impressed. It is now done and dusted, and is being tested by the washing machine water...it is holding so far.
Was it easy? No.
So called plumbing shops wanted to send out a plumber...next week...not sell me the parts.
End up at a builder's merchant's. Found my supplies there. Bought two. Cost me under £6. And a couple other bits in case...
But the parts were right, except my sink u bend and downpipe were imperial, and these parts are metric.
Finally I took the black rubber dimple ring out of the metric ring, watched you tube again where to place the black rubber ring on the pipe , and screwed up the original imperial sized screw ring in two seconds flat.
It took me an hour to get that far!
The worst part was trying to get out from under the sink....
I can now add plumbing to my skills ...
Thanks @ianpspursHello to you all from Breckland where it eventually became summer yesterday. Hopefully that is this case for a few more days or even weeks. Tyres, cakes and a meal with all three sons featuring a hefty part of a pig yesterday. I tested some cakes including my erstwhile favourite millionaires shortbread. Totally underwhelmed especially as R Turpin Esq seems to determine the price point but granddaughters had a wonderful time on the playground. Good news on the hot tub @dunelm and the cost can be a bone of contention for some couples - I'm led to believeStunning art today, thank you so much. @SlimLizzy good to hear the tower is up, secured and Mr Slim is at least realising hydration is vital. @gennepher I'm glad you slept well and have the satisfaction of having solved two other problems - plumbing and getting up from the floor. Thanks for the tip. Last whole day with The Winchchester Crew, blood test and salmon salad day here. Hope the physio goes well @dunelm. Sad news about Bill Turnbull, this can't be said enough - mine isn't that. These guys deserve support IMHO. Have a great day but remember of what ye are made and what ageing does.
Thank you so much @Krystyna23040Wow @gennepher -:I am really impressed.
Thanks for sharing the photo and video. The hug is for the batteries running out so quickly which isn't surprising given the number of videos per night and also for forgetting to eat. I hope the food you have or had is divine darling, simply divine.Fbg 6.6
Had a set back with the small trail cam. The batteries ran out in the night, the night before last. I thought they were supposed to last months. Yes Duracell batteries were used. But when I check on reviews, I find people are only expecting it to be triggered off once or twice in the night, hence their batteries do last months. My small trail cam is triggered off at the least 400, up to 600 times in the night. And is recording 30 second videos at a time. So it was a miracle they were lasting as long as they did. So no vids from the small trail cam. Large trail cam, that was up and working the same night. So, thought I would get something from that. As usual it was blinking useless. It picked up about 20 videos the entire night, and each was of Midnight shaking the moths away who land on him. I knew there had been wild life activity in the night, especially from the fox poop left on the ground (which would have been in full view of the large trail cam), but it picked nothing up. And it's battery is still at 95%.
So, for last night, I took the batteries out of the large trail cam (it has 8 batteries) and put the 4 needed in the small trail cam. I am just looking through the first 20 videos, and by 22:05:22 (pm) I have the first good one. I still have another 400 odd 30sec videos to trawl through, but it is lovely watching them. There is one funny one where Midnight is slow blinking the trail cam. There is a red led type display that comes on when it is triggered off (I though nothing was supposed to come on to show the camera was there, but it doesn't upset any of the animals...). So here is a still from that video, and a link to the full 30sec thing on YouTube.
Now I need a cuppa and some food (yes I forgot to eat again yesterday with the plumbing crisis...)
You all have your best day.

You tube is amazing for finding out how to fix things - have done loads of stuff when hubby is awayIt is now done and dusted, and is being tested by the washing machine water...it is holding so far.

Just clicked in and ,like you, also discovered a completely different layout, it's obviously a new look development, perhaps one of the mods will confirm.Hello....
Am I the only one seeing a whole new look to the forum ?
Has it been hacked![]()

EDIT.Oh fizzlesticks.
This is worse than useless.
It is wasting my time trying to get back in even though I left it open on my browser, it logged me out and messed me about in several different ways trying to get in again. Beginning with that I didnt have permission, and an oops there is nothing here.
And then finally after a whole rigamarole taking well over five minutes, it took me to the very beginning of this thread...
It needs to stay open in the browser for ease of communication.
Bye.
This is a stressful time waster that I can do without.
It wasn't broke before.
It was efficient and easy to read before.
I cannot read this display screen now, I do not know where I am with it.
I have dyslexia and this new layout is no good for me to read and understand.
I cannot take it in.
I'll come back some time next week.
I won't be logging in for a few days at least.
Perhaps the logging in will get sorted by next week at least.
I hope this is a temporary bye bye...
