What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning @gennepher
My mobile on web and looking at vid in post....no sound.

On YouTube , a pleasant tune, perhaps would have thought it suiting a slow view over a meadow or vista..but as you say, mysterious is individual .

Sound was ok....I might have asked for it a little higher 5% or slightly above

But perfectly acceptable as is

Hth.:)
Thanks very much @jjraak for that info
On my iPad mini is a good sound.

But as you say, on the Android phone no sound watching from the diabetes app. I just looked!

And in YouTube app, on Android, the music is just there for me

This is all a learning curve for me.

This tune was the best out of the five tunes I downloaded. The others were too dramatic. So you are suggesting this tune is more suitable for spring meadows, and maybe a gambolling lamb ;)

I have more tunes I can legally download for going on to YouTube, but that will take me awhile!

Yes I can go with the tune sound being 5%, possibly up to 8%

The tune came as default at 63% and nearly blasted my head off being directly streamed into it.

Thanks for your input

Hello everyone from a bright blue skied but too chilly for a delicate orchid/awkward so and so like me. RIP Eddie Butler. By all accounts a wonderful man, a talented rugby player, linguist, author and possessor of an amazing voice. Thoughts, prayers and condolences to his family. @gennepher thanks for sharing today's creatives. I couldn't hear any music but I'm a clownshoe so no surprises there. @dunelm thank you for the art. I am really enjoying this series and the gradual reveals are a joy. Best wishes for the cooking : tomatoes with herbs will always be a winner for me (I'd add small chunks of chorizo or French equivalent, Merquez?, surely garlic in France) - and ramp(s) @Krystyna23040 good news on the jab booking. We have ours on St Matthew's day, 21st. Meanwhile, events dear boy events as per Supermac. Always good to triangulate/clean one's Johari window: the UK/English centric double glazing is badly misty just now.and needs urgent repairs but there is a funeral first. I found this interesting and if you read that maybe try the original or summary of the Orwell referenced or obviously just ignore them all. Super Salmon Salad Day - hurrah, call a half hol and cancel all exams. If'n you waded through that you are either sadder than I imagine or need the kind of help only a gifted professional can offer. Whether you chill out, exercise manically, woodwork, paint, film or fill your day with any of the myriad ways on offer do enjoy yourself with due care, attention and concern for others. Toodle Pip.
Apparently there appears to be no sound when it is played directly within the diabetes app, but once you go onto the YouTube app itself the sound is there although I believe it is quite quiet.
@jjraak suggested the sound needed to be at least 5%. And this may enable it to be heard within the diabetes app. I don't know yet. This is all a learning process for me. I know I'll get there... eventually.

Everything uploaded to the internet, comes out differently when uploaded to different platforms, and on different devices. And obviously from what you and @jjraak says, this includes sound!

So, you are no clownshoe!
I need to do more research and tries with this. Mistakes make perfect!

You keep warm today, the blue skies and sun are deceptively chilly

You are too, too kind dear lady. Clownshoe is a cleaned up version of the epithets directed my way by those who have ever been unlucky enough to come across me IRL Enjoy working on those videos but please remember to eat.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
Blood sugars this morning were 4.7 oh hum.
Here in Tilehurst Towers it is another day of hospital tests. Radioactive stuff injected this morning and back this afternoon for a bone scan, then hopefully nothing till the 28th. Yes interesting times, other newspapers available.
Now if you don’t mind it’s time for an early afternoon nap.

Best wishes for a successful nap. Oh, and likewise for the bone scan. First things first.

Haha ...yeah finding tunes is a Minefield on YouTube..with permissions etc .(& Quite rightly so )

Makes it sound bad...not the intention..just my interpretation.
Mysterious summons up fear, horror.

That to my mind was more the preamble to a jack Hargreaves show maybe...a pleasant landscape, panning slowly across, just showing the fields & scenery...

Deffo no gambling lambs in peaked caps playing cards or dice . :hilarious:

Go enjoy that nap.

Fist bump for the hassle...
Hope all goes smoothly.

On the bright side, glowing in the dark, should reduce your electricity bills a little...which is a nice little bonus ;):)

Touche....nice retort & use of deprecating humour..

If we can't laugh at ourselves now & then , who can we laugh at .:)

Enjoy the meal tonight.

Blimey!
Complicated!
But you got there in the end @Krystyna23040
It was so annoying @gennepher. Mr K logs onto the website and is offered the vaccine at a local clinic. Probably took less than 5 minutes. I log on 2 seconds after him and am not offered any local appointments. 119 had no idea why the website was blocking me from booking a local appointment. I wasted half an hour before ringing the local clinic and booking the vaccine.

My sister had exactly the same issue when she booked her first vaccine. She was offered Brighton, which is not exactly local to Norfolk.

Indeed it is a learning curve...
And we're better for it.

If we never attempt & risk failing, we could never hope to succeed .

I doubt anyone every made the first prototype THE first to be mass manufactured .

...thank goodness .:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Hardly on the doorstep...madness :banghead::banghead::banghead:

The fox came many more times than in this video, and so did two different badgers.

Poor Midnight. He had a frustrating night. He spent the early part of the evening in my kitchen, and was playing with his catnip fish. It was nearly midnight, 12 midnight (!), when he went outside presumably assuming the fox and badgers had been and gone. But little did he know his troubles were about to begin...and the fox and badgers made many more appearances, even during the time of this video, than I have shown. Finally at 2 pm after the indignity of falling off the swing, and then getting soaked, he then came into the kitchen again, had some comfort food, played with his catnip fish again, and went out again at 4:30 am, thinking the rest of the night would be peaceful. Alas for the poor fox, Midnight had plenty of pent up frustration and aggression left...

When Midnight was on the the ground on his fallen (favourite?) blankets, both fox and badgers came in several times. I had difficulty putting so many video clips together in the video app, it kept altering the part of the clip I wanted to be seen, and also it kept changing the order of events!?!?! I think this was the 6th video I made, and it still didn't have everything in that I had planned. This video was in my 'I give up with this lark' phase...

And I am not washing those blankets in my washing machine, that Midnight accidentally pulled off the swing...and that the badgers used as a scent marker several times in the night...

No music today, the actual two main natural sound effects are impressive enough...

Creative is a kaleidoscope in Laboscope. Finally the app is working with the latest IOS software.

It looked a clear starry night last night. But now as dawn breaks, the clouds are gathering...

Another cuppa needed...

Have a good day.

Yesterday, trawling through the videos from the TrailCam, I found 3 separate videos within the space of an hour where Midnight did this.
It was during the hours of 8 and 9 pm on the 12th September, Midnight (cat) breathed out what looked like smoke/a life force (?) three times. It was not a cold evening. He has never done this before. I thought it was curious.

It took me 4 hours to figure out how to use the video splicing app, put a filter on the video, how and where to place a title, and then the music...not an easy task for a deaf person who even with the cochlear implant doesn't hear like a hearing person. I downloaded several, they were jarring and awful, and were so loud they nearly blasted the cochlear processor off my head. I know it's a common complaint in others' comments that music is too loud, so I put this music down to as low as possible.

Let me know what you think as to music and loudness. I wanted 'mysterious'. What will sound mysterious to me will not be mysterious to you...
The music is possibly too low and therefore might sound distorted to a hearing person, but for me, I get this streamed directly to my cochlear implant, and consequently it sounds quite loud to me, even at this low level. I am never going to be able to gauge this, so please give me an idea if it needs to be louder. On the gauge when I put the music on, it has 0% to 100%
I have put it on 3% volume for this video.
What do you think it should be?

I suppose the above is really my creative for today, I could have taken a still shot to post, but I did a digital painting in Procreate for today. I have one sunflower growing. It is just coming out. I will probably photograph it next week. But in the meantime here is my impression of a sunflower in digital art...

Blue skies, sun is out, time for another cuppa!

Sound level and music choices was spot on

good morning everyone from quite a pleasant cool morning here in the Charente-Martime. Home today, at least that’s the plan. This modern high tech way of traveling can be fraught with unexpected surprises. Wonder if I can issue a letters patent? It’s all the rage. First though, a trip to the market with dad and lunch. Not caught up much this week - things to do. Still, art work, just about finished and nothing more to be done. Have a marvelous day if you can. I now need some koffy before it’s “tidy up time”.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who travel whichever way they deem, here in Tilehurst Towers we have no desire to travel too Mordor and stand in long covid ridden queues.
A solid 5.5 this morning on that meter. Enough said.
The last few days have been a little busy from a medical point of view and apart from a letter hopefully the next week or so should be medics free, the only blot on the horizon is I might be taken to Tesco’s and not banished to the koffy shop.
Stay safe all.
