What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Can't say I have had the best few days.
Too much cheese and today no exception.
Salami and Coppa. More cream cheese!
Can't weight tomorrow as scales broke and just ordered another.
Hate it when things go a bit wrong!
Oh two coffee and cream.

Playing a bit of catch up, but back home and enjoying a bit more of a familiar routine before I head off again next week.

Eaten copious amounts of Greek yoghurt, cream and raspberries. Main meal yesterday was fried eggs with air fried bacon and Waitrose 1 Cumberland sausages.

Main meal today was 20% mince fried with bacon and onions with a beaten egg, crumbled feta and grated mozzarella. Was still peckish a couple of hours later, so just had some air fried pork belly pieces. @Antje77 you’ll see the plate is still safe!

I bought half a pig from a local farm then realised I had no room in my freezer so I’ve had to beg space in other people’s while I use up what’s in mine.
Last night therefore was pheasant stroganoff with broccoli. I’d forgotten my neighbour gave us a brace of pheasant a while back.

Working backwards, lunch was h/m yoghurt with seeds
Breakfast was cheese omelette with turmeric and ginger sauerkraut. Lots of black coffee.
I like the sound of turmeric and ginger sauerkraut. I have a lot of cabbage to use up (red, white and sweetheart) and just now, I'm avoiding much in the way of vegetables.

I guess this was breakfast just now, being too nervous and too caught up with packing to feel like eating before I'd finished packing.
One slice of low carb bread with the very tasty filling of yesterday's cabbage, and one with the rest of the trout fillet because that needed eating before leaving tomorrow morning. :hungry:

Hope the happy anticipation wins over the plain debilitating and you can get packed up and on your way without any unexpected issues. Bon voyage.
The day was horrible but I finished all my preparations and am ready to go!
Much happier now!

Have a very happy holiday Antje. Sadly the weather isn't looking too promising but you can have fun all the same and the pleasure of meeting up with old friends.
Thank you!
Good thing I didn't plan a UK holiday in october expecting sunny weather and 20 degrees!
@Antje77 you’ll see the plate is still safe!
Finally!
After two and a half years of patience!

Morning all. I have my American granddaughter staying for a few days happily. She travelled back with me to keep an eye on me! Today we are having roast turkey, cauli mash with cheese, steamed broccoli and cabbage. For tea tonight we are having egg mayo and cress on lettuce leaves. I put 4 eggs on to boil and went into the lounge. Next thing there is a bang and then another. On investigating, I had forgotten the eggs and the pan had boiled dry and the eggs had exploded!! This time I'll stay in the kitchen!

I’m glad it’s not just me! Exploding eggs are like a bomb going off aren’t they?
How lovely to have your granddaughter staying though.

I hope there is still room for you in there! Looking forward to hearing your adventures.

Breakfast was 2 h/b eggs mashed with butter ( thanks @mrs T123 for the idea)
Lunch was a cobb salad which surprisingly I couldn’t finish
Dinner out at a local grill. It was granddaughter’s 10th birthday and her choice of venue. She likes this place because it has nice apple juice. I had steak and they were happy to swap out chips and onion rings for broccoli and coleslaw. Glass of red wine.
When the cake arrived with candles, granddaughter presented me with a cupcake case containing mixed nuts so I wouldn’t feel left out. Darling girl.

No breakfast, just black decaff before an intense physio session
Lunch, I had my breakfast yogurt fage, with walnuts, black coffee.
dinner, I just had to try the crispy cheese omelette. Thanks @MrsA2 and @DJC3 .
Added mushrooms shallots and ham. Lovely! Just drank water after.
Supper warm coconut milk, with a Caribbean twist, a tot of dark rum. For medicinal purpose. ;):hilarious:

Bacon, eggs, toast and vegimite for breakfast,
Putting the grocery order that awau, and droppena tin of sardines, bent down to pick it up and kept on going. I hit my head on the way down and ended up on the floor.
No lunch, or supper at six.

I will continue in the chat thread.

A long day.
Started with cab at 7:00 to airport.
Stayed fasted until about 12, but bg went from 5 overnight to 8.5 all the time at the airport, even though there were no dramas or delays, just travel stress I presume.
Luckily we got an upgrade so had quite a posh meal of a lovely chunk of lamb that fell apart. I didn't eat the sweet potato mash it came with. Starter was billed as avocado and edamame bean salad but there was one solitary teeny tiny chunk of avocado and loads of beans so I left half of it.
I swapped my tiramisu dessert (after I'd sampled 3 spoonfuls for quality control purposes) for hubbys cheese, and snuck some cheese away for later. One nut bar I had taken with me.
One very large glass of a very nice white wine.

At this point time started going backwards and they offered an afternoon tea, all carbs. I was still very full from the lovely lamb so it was easy to refuse.

By the time we're landed and through the airport Stateside I was hungry so had cheese in the taxi.

It's now just after lunchtime - again!

4pm ish the rest of the cheese and nuts I had taken with me,

7pm 2 roast chicken thighs from deli counter.

It's really 2 or 3 a.m in my body. Libre is interesting. It's realised I've been catapulted in time and the graph line seems to reflect that but the green log dots are all over the place. I did keep scanning regularly so know I was OK each scan, irrespective of when that was.

Just brunched on seafood stir-fry. Tonight we are having roast chicken wings with tenderstem broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower and possibly some runner beans if any are still hiding in the veg. garden. I will make lumpy soup tomorrow with whatever chicken wings are left, plus lots of veggies.

Hi All
yesterday was my fave Fish Finger Firsday, chunky cod fingers and cauli cheese
Lunch was slice ham, h/b egg, chopped cucumber & tomato and spoon of coleslaw. Brekkie as always slice of LC toast and copious tea.
lunch today was a repeat except no ham. Supper will be two Green Cuisine plant burgers topped with Portobello mushrooms.
Defo feeling the chill now nights and early morning. Need to figure out minimum heating plan now. Happy hols to @Antje77 and also @MrsA2 hope you can find interesting LC food that might be different to usual. @RosemaryJackson the exploding eggs made me laugh, just the sort of thing I would do after getting distracted easily. Its usually when baking a baguette for Mr PM which has turned out like a sturdy weapon!

Cheese and mushroom omelette with a spoon of turmeric and ginger sauerkraut for breakfast.
Lunch was a slice of Schneider Brot protein bread I found in Asda yesterday. Not seen this for a while. Only 4 g carbs per slice. I topped it with cream cheese, red pepper, avocado and prosciutto. H/m yoghurt and seeds to follow.
Tonight’s dinner is a DD favourite - Keto chicken cordon Bleu casserole, with a glass of red no doubt. IMG_1664560291.888107.jpg

Monday 19 September bed 7 4 FBG 7.8.

Food was very simple today as most of the day was spent watching the Queen's funeral and marvelling at our armed forces.

B. A cooked breakfast for a change. Slice of GF Black pudding, 2 rashers of streaky bacon, a fried egg and a slice of SLC toast. TAG obviously.

L. Nothing

D. Leftover cold cuts - ox tongue, smoked chicken, ham, pork & egg, wafer thin roast beef, coleslaw and celeriac chips.

Tuesday 20 September bed 7.8 FBG 7.9

B. Back to normal TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with pate.

L. Nothing

D. 3 GF pork chipolatas, GF Black pudding, fried egg and santini tomatoes.

Back on the school run again. Boys full of chat about the funeral and who's who. I was glad to get to the Physio today as my legs have been murder.

Wednesday 21 September - bed 7.2 FBG 7.4

School run and feed the boys after school.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with ox tongue and coleslaw.

L. Pack of M&S Italian pancetta crisps.

D. I made the boys a chicken and corn pie. I use chicken, chopped up GF sausages, sweetcorn, mushrooms and I use Campbell's condensed mushroom soup for the sauce. Sausages and chicken are mostly cooked first. I spend time decorating the pastry then there is a battle to see who gets the most pastry roses and leaves. I had the filling with spinach.
