What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 7.1

I am late because I was trying to finish this stuff below...

The wildlife trail camera catches the busy nightlife right outside my bedroom door to the garden - foxes and badgers mainly.

For this event, the demise of Big Ted, there were two trail cameras running as irrefutable evidence, Part 1 is the event as recorded from one end of the swing, and Part 2 is the event as recorded from the other end of the swing.

Part 1

The event is more or less the same in Part 2 except the fox is out of frame,so doesn't register.

Part 2

This particular night, one badger (whom I call Kissy Kissy, because she keeps planting a kiss on cat, Midnight's, nose which invariably ends with her getting a hard smack across her nose from him), committed a most foul deed.

Midnight, cat, loves Big Ted (as my previously elderly cat did), and this may have been Kissy Kissy's revenge. The wind chimes seemed to chime at various appropriate intervals.

Kissy Kissy took advantage of the absence of Midnight (cat) now sleeping in my kitchen for the colder part of the night. But Midnight usually comes back to the swing around 5am.

Kissy Kissy pulls Big Ted off the swing and pummels him for over a minute, to the horror of the other badger who runs away.

Kissy Kissy keeps coming back to do a little 'message' on Big Ted. She does this repeatedly for a long time. The length of time she is staying in my garden in one visit is unusual.

Then the fox comes in, (this only registers in part 1, because of camera angle). The fox looks horrified, does not want to get blamed for this and bids a hasty retreat. The fox has also had smacks across the face by Midnight when it has put its nose into Midnight's face.

The wind chimes in Part 1 are next to the trail camera, and so it picks up when they sound the death knell several times. This is very eerie because those wind chimes need a strong wind to start chiming. So for them to do this death knoll several times, was rather spooky to me .

Then Midnight (cat) comes back to the swing at around 5am. He doesn't understand what has happened to Big Ted, his snuggle warmth and comfort. Midnight holds vigil over Big Ted. It absolutely pours with rain. The wind chimes death knell sounds one last time.

Midnight misses Big Ted.

In Part 2, it is the same event, the demise of Big Ted, but from the other side of the swing, and it picks things up from a fresh angle. It tells me there were two badgers there that night. And that the badger, Kissy Kissy, is very agile and very good at climbing.

I had to watch a few hundred 60 second video clips the two trail cameras took of that night, so this took some time...

Creative is Big Ted and the acknowledgement of his duty from 2010 to 2022.
2010 to October 2021 Big Ted kept my old cat Popeye warm and cosy.
2022, around end of May Big Ted was Midnight's warm cosy sleeping place on the swing.
Big Ted did a lot of duty for a child's toy bear.

Time for a cuppa, and to turn over to a new page...

EDIT... these videos need to be watched in YouTube for the full natural sound effects, especially the death knell wind chimes in the Part 1 video...which were very spooky to me...
They are a couple of minutes longer than my usual videos...

RIP Big Ted indeed but he was loved by you, Popeye and Midnight plus given a wonderful tribute with that creative. I've saved the two videos to my watch later area of my youtube library but thank you so much. Enjoy your day and may it be as frustration free as possible.

Yes, they are longer videos, and need to be watched on YouTube for the full natural sound effects. And a cuppa needs to made to watch them...

I'll put an edit on my post @ianpspurs
Thank you...

Good morning all on what may or may not be just another manic Monday depending on how many Kwasi screeching u-turns you make. Lovely autumn day yesterday and relatively mild through to Saturday here, allegedly. With no heating - still - and doors open for the dogs to roam outside it was 22c in our lounge last evening according to Hive. @dunelm I hope the BP check is tickety boo, enjoy the aroma from the new coffee. The addition of sepia adds even more class to that artwork. Many thanks for sharing. No virtual marathon here yesterday but half an hour on my exercise bike for the fist time in many months felt so good, so good, so good. @Krystyna23040 good news on Archie and to avoid confusion JKP didn't test positive for COVID, just MIL. @Annb how kind to make those brownies and shop bought biscuits are kind enough. Have a great day but go your own way. within the law and spirit thereof. ever mindful that others have the same right. Enough earworms for y'all?
Thank you @ianpspurs - blood pressure up a bit - that’s not happened before but I have a phone appointment with my GP on Wednesday to discuss the diabetes review. Absolutely fuming that I am no longer going to get a tax cut :woot::***::rolleyes:. Good news being able to get back on the exercise bike.

First off.
* Bravo for setting up all the equipment so well.
* Very impressive how you have the skill & time to pull, cut, paste all that into such a coherent scene.
And
* For the narrative pulling all the threads together as you weaved the story of that night ...

Mmm is it worth even bothering to write a post these days ?

Here go number 4.

Now the good news has seeped in, I'm back testing

Marvelous start...a nice & juicy 9.0...Lovely..:banghead::rolleyes:

To be fair, I had set out to test.
Spotted a few crumbs on floor, got out the vax...
Forgot it needed emptying from the other day..
So naturally it was still poor on the power, a quick investigation...IS there such a thing ...lol.

A round cardboard clothing tag, lodged neatly into pipework, stopping airflow..fixed

Back to literally having to PULL the vax away from the carpet while using ...(best hoover EVER )

SOoo..the 9.0 could have been THAT...mmh.

But my monies on the DeeeLicious M&S Thai meal box Lauren got us for last night.

With one battle seemingly all over bar the shouting, one last blow out before regrouping & marching off to the Diabetes Eastern Front Lines seemed appropriate (I know, I know
Put it down to walking fever ;) )

In my run tracks, which are now my 'Step on the step, step off the step tracks' and a long way from running, but I'll take it all day long ..for now.

Is this
Personal as it's a part of me now, airport scanners may be interesting ..lol.
But it's also a little inspiring, & gives a little bounce to my steps & increases the belief , that all of 'this' IS the reality, not the 'Dark' space I once was...sort of.

Wishing you all the very best of days
Hopefully it's as full of promise as mine . :)

For Genn.
Left the video, for it's mime like interpretation.

Midnight is actually quite upset about Big Ted!
Big Ted was warmth and also protection. He could hide on the side of Big Ted on the swing.

I have nothing currently to replace Big Ted with.

But, Midnight is at this minute in my front room on my feather cushions. He sent a whole pile of stuff crashing trying to reach them, and thought he was in trouble. But slow eye blink from me, and 'it's okay, it's okay,' calmed him. I cannot reach him, the stuff is piled up in that corner! And so I mimed going to sleep, putting my head on my hands, saying 'sleepy byes, sleepy byes'.
And he promptly put his head down on the cushion and went to sleep.

How the heck did he understand me?

A trip to the charity shop might be in order to find something for Midnight...and maybe one of those Care Bear's for Kissy Kissy.

What the heck was up with that badger?

Thank you so much for that lovely review @jjraak

Was more so, but damnable forum infrastructure is SO weak.

Have now lost all editing options

Trying THE 'IT' Solution ...here goes nothing. <prays>

Nope...can only post words with no pic or video content

Have I been sanctioned for watching that Russian subtitled movie last year ..<Shock >

@Administrator .
Yet another error problem.

It's like being on a forum back in the early windows 7 days ;-)

Thanks @jjraak
I loved the visual, but needed the second with the words.

Getting those keys was ace, I wish I could do that...

Okay, a hint that might help while the site is acting up with our words.
For a long post with a lot of thought, emotion, and words, I now always use a notepad app or a word processing app you have on your device. I write the words and links in that.

Then copy and paste, and insert in into your post on here. I have lost so many posts when I have done them directly into the post.
And these posts can be labour intensive.
So, if one is lost, or gone corrupted, then it is easy to copy from wherever you wrote, and then paste.

Saves so much grief and time...and blue words in the sky...

Agree, it's troublesome of late.

I keep getting error codes.
Tried to change theme, see if it was that..
Apparently sometimes I don't have any profile.
Nice.

Have reported to admins but no reply.
Suggest any posts like yours should tag in @Administrator or any mod @Antje77 @Jaylee

Seems to be a more general issue then just my mobile.

And there it is - another partial post @Administrator
@jjraak - should have said that my daughter in law tells me where to get authentic ingredients from. The image of the curry paste is the brand that most Thai Restaurants use
Shouting into the void at the moment sadly

Was going to say nice
But now even nicer.
Cheers

Did have to smile when I saw it was Knorr cubes ..lol

But then only 10 food companies in the entire world , so not so surprising really ..lol
