Indeed....I saw what you did with the Spurs dig but your neck must be hurting with all that craning from looking at the PL table

Been there, mate. The failure of certain joints to comply with my needs is turning into an ongoing whack-a-mole type scenario. Left ankle quickly solved same day but right knee has now decided to strike for better conditions, mostly more suitable minerals. MIL's stairlift is very useful just now
Thanks and belated hug.Been there, mate.
And it sucks .
In my 50's it was one joint after another ..every month they took it in turns to play me up, swell or just plain be painful.
Hope it settles down soon.
Hug for the hassleclicking castanets
I was diagnosed with carpel tunnel syndrome about 15 years ago and was offered the option of surgery. I was told that was the only option available. Basically, I either took that option or I would just have to get on with it by myself. I refused and just got on with it - eventually it sorted itself out, so I wonder if the diagnosis was correct. It's back now, in a way, but it feels more like arthritis now. Not that it makes any difference, I'm not getting any treatment for the arthritis anyway - having refused other surgery on one of my knees. My joints sound like clicking castanets! Worse at the moment due to the damp weather. I can still run, bike etc but my hubby has it really bad and has arthritis in his hands brought on by tenosynovitis which has gradually got worse over the years. He drinks cranberry juice the ocean spray one and it helps a bit.
That is exactly what I do. If all else fails - read the instruction manual. We used to say in the trade, if all else fails read the book!
Yes, that has happened to me on more than one occasion.Ah, but what happens if you can't remember where you put the instruction book?
My worse one was a text to a friend saying that I was really sorry that her dog was now deaf. I didn't notice that predictive text had substituted dead for deaf. Luckily she thought it was funny.Predictive texting has very nearly lost me some of my older ladies (hair dressing), who have mobiles etc silver surfers![]()
The equivalent of pressing the nuclear button, if a fellaThat is exactly what I do. If all else fails - read the instruction manual.
Thank you @gennepherI like the sound of Mrs Miggins outfit
How did the little 'un dress?
Great Art Scratchings...sounds like it should be in a snack pack...
(Just kidding!)
It is amazing how you do these scratchings and then suddenly colour transform it into something scarily real...
I don't have an advent calendar!Good morning everyone on a wonderfully quiet start here in the dark and dangerous north. Lots of good, informative chat about cranberry juice - probably contains substances that are anti-inflammatory. Berries do that. Same reason that I use turmeric and also sour cherry juice for my arthritis and to reduce flare ups of gout. Turmeric is also good for keeping wolves and bears away - working well so far and as we know, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger - but not applicable with bears and wolves. Also, if anyone wants copies of Orthopedics Today, I have back issues. Lunch out yesterday - somewhere we have not visited before. Excellent lunch and lots of it. We brought half of it home in take away boxes that were provided - dinner sorted. Art bit - more scratches - I use the word because that is what it feels like putting down the marks. I hope that you all have a wonderful day and are not cheating with your advent calendars- I don’t have one. I just open doors in the kitchen and eat whatever is behind them. Koffy, I simply must make koffy.

I have problems with word instructions @AnnbBG at 3.30 am was 8.8. Currently 13.0.
Does anyone else have problems understanding those instruction sheets described in pictures? Ordinary instruction manuals are complicated, which is why they end up in the drawer but the ones that only show steps in images are impossible to me. For most things I ask Neil and he just works it out (typical man, of course - his dad was the same) but it doesn't make things any clearer for me. That's why I end up only being able to use a few of the functions available. His Asperger's, though, comes into play because there are some things he won't touch - mobile phones, Windows, TV. He disapproves of them and is extremely stubborn. No use asking Alistair - he's as bad as me. So Em is helpful for some things that she understands.
She has made a large sign on an A4 sheet, which she has pasted to my window sill, behind my desk, similar to below because Gran is so useless when it comes to using the tablet.

I think we are all creaking gates on this thread @ianpspurs one way or another...but on the 'bright' side, creaking gates last the longest...Good morning everyone from The East on the second Sunday in Advent. A day of memories: old and, hopefully. newly minted ones later. Frosty enough for pond skating in Hunts in 1932 but none here today. Later we will be having a four generation meal, remembering and giving thanks for my dad who was born on this date. He would certainly be watching the football this evening, probably with our middle son whose birthday is the 8th. Having 92 yo MIL will be both wonderful and poignant for me. Grief is the price we pay for love. Dad would have been delighted to see my grandson work his way through a proper Sunday lunch at 15 months - he will be a strapping fella, Creaking joints? My right knee is so locked I can't put my sock on - gout. Usually only flares up after dehydrating illness so go figure - post covid? @dunelm wonderful art and thanks for the sour cherry hint. I did buy some but in severe flare ups fluid, tablets and time are all that works. Wonderful Advent calendar you have. A stairlift is certainly a gift from God - He moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform. Today’s Advent poem https://malcolmguite.wordpress.com/2021/12/04/ Have a great day everyone. I'm going to remember the immensity cloister'd in the phrase Bowlin' Warney. Thanks for the tips on field settings which helped the school team I captained aged 12 go unbeaten, driving me to so many places to play but never complaining or criticising aka offering advice, helping me choose then paying for all those bats, pieces of kit, all the building work and so much more. RIP dad. I was truly blessed.
