What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Venting. Bit of a day today.
MrSlim has injured his hand with a Stanley knife. Thought we were off to A&E but a very large plaster is holding it together so far. The too distracting Kiki is now banned from the worksite.
Of course he is carrying on as normal. (It's not possible to have a day off or tackle something less complex) while stating they he is not able to work to his usual standard or speed.
Useless to protest and offers of help have been rejected.

Hug for Mr Slim. He'll need to keep an eye on that cut. Stanley knives are not known for being sterile. Another hug for you for the frustration.

FBG on the high side today - 11.9 at 2.30 am. Rose to 17.9 at 6.0 before I did anything about it. Correction dose - full dose of 60u - only brought it down to 14.4 by 8.30, so I guess it's going to be one of those days.

The sky outside the window looks very much like one of gennepher's artworks - all over shades of grey, kind of promising to be blue by daylight and the black tracery of tree branches (no leaves left now) in silhouette.

good morning everyone from a busy busy start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. I blame Barbera Hepworth who would have been 120 years old today if she had stayed up north and not flitted down to St Ives. Hospital appointment this afternoon - follow up at the clockwork automaton clinic to tighten some screws. They do come loose I have been told and some of my marbles are missing. Art bit - some detail added. Have the very best day that you can, my koffy is on it’s second brew.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and a special mention four @dunelm , it seems a day of tribulation, lost marbles, loose screws and shock horror already on your second brew of koffy. Good luck.

Blood sugars this morning were a naughty 4.3, I was expecting low 7’s . Never mind I shall be in the next few years playing calculation and tea bag reading.

Not totally sure about today, but I’m very short (5’9” on a good day) on plinky plonky practice this week, and probably need to spend some time sitting at the box of Microsoft sorting a few problems out, good job it’s raining and forecast to be damp today.
It seems our British space industry had a minor set back, good luck for the next attempt and also floating solar panels are becoming the next big thing, tethered to wind farms, the future is bright and floats.

Stay safe all and remember words such as for and to have multiple pointless spelling with or without the apostrophe.

Stunning sunrise this morning. Luckily we had a dry dog walk in the park because now it is absolutely pouring down.

Blood sugars not that good at the moment but I am back on the 'straight and narrow' now.

Really busy now I am back at work but am making sure that I am taking my breaks.

I love the description of your sky...

Good luck at the hospital @dunelm

Your art bit...that is how we will be living soon, with the watermill running the power for everything...there is enough water here..l

We are forecast over 100mmin in a few hours on fells today.
Some here could use the river and most of the time there is enough flow to get plenty of output for the hamlet.
A few here in the hamlet have the money and technicals skills to do it. Count me out I am past all that I 'm just an ideas man now.

The fox's night with cats
A ginger cat who has been sleeping under the tarpaulin at the back of the swing comes out stretching...
Cat Jade who is eating her cat biscuits on the swing in the beginning...
Cat Midnight on his patrols...
And Foxy Loxy who always seems to be on his own, mooching around under the swing, or checking my bedroom door which is full length glass, or he disappears to the tip of my garden where I find the soil dug over for worms...this night Foxy Loxy was in my garden for well over 8 hours...
And finally, cat Jade sets off the wind chimes...

Creative is using ZenBrush3 to create what I hope look like water effects. No hidden Midnights or other cats today. I will save those for my tree type paintings.

Time for a nap.
Been awake since early.
But first a cuppa...

Morning all from a soggy giant pig farm (major water pollutant notwithstanding) protected by USAF, sold as own label but we know. we know. Probably best they protect us after last night's events. Sadly, quite the metaphor for the last decade or so. @Krystyna23040 good news on the pre-rain dog walk and you taking your breaks. @SlimLizzy hug for both of you. @dunelm thanks for sharing the art which is developing nicely to my mind but you artists often seem to be less satisfied with what your hands produce compared to what your mind wanted to deliver. Very much the vibe of these threads - basic, minimal chatty or this full fat version. Best wishes for hospital visit - actually in a building, cabin or tent whatever. The deception of no crisis is wearing a tad thin for anyone who actually uses or works in the NHS. @lindisfel hug and winner for yesterday. @Annb hug for all the ups, downs and dosage issues. @alf_Josiah similar. @gennepher thanks for the creative and I can definitely see the water theme. Laundry day here and indoor steps. Give today your best shot; fake it 'till you make it (or even if you don't) is the zeitgeist so it'll be a great day whatever.
Update: Last week's retinal scan revealed no damage so thanks be to God and perhaps some, through gritted teeth, to Elsie
