What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@Annb any joy with oil supplies? @dunelm I hope the pain killers worked. Smashing photos. @gennepher thanks for sharing the (ghoulish?) lighthouse. @Krystyna23040 great fbg. Was that diary secretary just a temp or is it their day off?
No joy, I'm afraid. Found an e-mail address for the parent company and sent a complaint to them, but they haven't answered either. To be honest, I don't know how to proceed.

Had a heart attack last Friday 1600 just returned home again, one artery completely blocked tell you more later

Good sign they let you home, I'm guessing.

Best wishes for a steady recovery

If frying pan makes ever hear about you, teflon coatings could be a thing of the past ...mmm

Dereklon ©™ coating....

Super tough.
Long lasting.
Withstands any heat.

Thanks for that. I'll see if I can get through to them tomorrow - too late this evening now. Neil's talking about putting in an electric boiler as a back-up. But that's a big job and will require laying in new pipework and cabling, so not a short term fix.
A very expensive way to produce heat unless you have an insulated home and your own wind turbine and solar heating panels.

6.9 this morning. Really tired as this week has been so busy. Really strange how things are at the moment.

Because of the issues with the cost of living I had assumed that the demand for my classes and 1:1s would plummet.

I had not been prepared for the totally opposite to happen. Hopefully things settle down very soon. Thank goodness for all the bank holidays coming up this month.

Blood sugars Wednesday were 5.4, Thursday 5.4 and this morning were 5.6

Life, the Universe and Everything to quote Douglas Adams is getting in the way and therefore for now I must depart to one of the many realities me, me’s and myself seem to exist in and also confirm my booking for the restaurant at the end of the universe.

Hand and foot note my plinky plonky on Wednesday was cancelled the teacher was ill, poor soul.

Stay safe and avoid Vogon poetry.

Other hand and foot note
Don’t forget your towel and I must get round to reading the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy again. I’m sorry I’ll repeat that…..again.

Agreed, but it's better than nothing. We only have a choice of oil or electric here. No gas - at one stage we could have had propane but it is no longer available. First it became the most expensive way of heating, then the company who supplied it closed down. Alistair has just got rid of their electric boiler and rebuilt their living room to have a back boiler on their stove, but I went the other way a few years ago when I couldn't manage to clean a solid fuel stove/fireplace. The one we had was super-efficient, but it had so many flues which all had to be kept clear that I couldn't do it.

12.3 this morning at 5 am. Currently 11.9. No reason for it to stay so high. I am now back to my previous maximum of basal insulin, despite the nurse telling me to reduce it. I was hoping that by being very strict with my carb reduction I would be able to reduce my bolus doses but , as is often the case with me, it only worked for about a week. Maybe it's all this business with the oil that is causing stress levels that I am unaware of. Or maybe it's just me.

That's some size of a wave. No wonder the ghostly lightkeepers are looking so alarmed.

This thing with the oil is causing you stress, which most probably is the cause of this high rise.
I think that level of stress that causes that higher rise, could happen to any of us.
Good luck this morning trying to contact the oil people @Annb
