What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Funny sort of day in Cumbria with a thick mist limiting view to a few hundred feet. Not been sleeping well last few days but last night slept better.

Looking forward to the band's and matching today.

I could see me as the type who come the recruiting sergeant and a piper in former times to the village to get the lads to accept the shilling, would have been taken in easily.

Sleep....so under rated...until you aren't able to.

Good to hear, and by the the tone of your post it seems a better day today .

Hears to many more.

And as for the band's, etc, i have to admit they do put on a good show ....enjoy

Fbg 8.6

Well, it looks like it might be the 8's for the moment for Fbg.
That is at least an improvement.
But my readings the rest of the day are haywire to what they were before this vegetarian sausage episode. It does not make sense to me.
I can only assume my body is trying to find its own balance and equilibrium.
And so I am not going take any more daytime readings. It doesn't help me mentally to see those higher readings. I know the right stuff to eat and when.

Midnight snarls at them...

Creative is a digital painting in Procreate of Spanish Bluebells. My wild English bluebells have nearly finished flowering.

Midnight has just come in ...MUM do something!
I just witnessed outside what upset him.
The Mr Magpie needs food for his babies, so he is stealing everything. I have some wet catfood that I bought a supply of, but it was a slightly cheaper brand, and none of the cats nor Mr Blackbird would eat it. And when I opened it, it didn't look attractive.
Anyway, I put some on the bird table to see if Mr Magpie wanted it. It is in jelly so he can carry away a big chunk. He watched me from my roof.
He approved.
But I only put half the sachet out, and left the other half in the sachet to put on the bird table later after I posted this.
I left it on the swing shelf. Right in front of Midnight who was eating some cat biscuits, Mr Magpie swooped in from the garage roof, put his beak in the sachet, realised it was half full, and flew off with the sachet of cat food...

Someone is going to be wondering why there are empty sachets of cat food littering the ground under their tree...

Have your best day...

I think I need coffee and cream...

I couldn't do without all the phone reminder notifications now @dunelm
How did we manage in the olden days...
I need more reminder notice boards. I don't have the spare time to do/carry out all these reminders...

Beautiful ruin...reminds me of places I used to go with J and my first hearing dog...memories...

Enjoy that coffee...
Good question.

We knew so many numbers, now if I 'lose' my phone, one of the big worries is how do I call "x"....mmmh

Gave a win for the lovely memories you have
Some don't have enough, but
You seemed blessed with them.

Love it.

No one's every truly gone,
As long as we remember them

'53 wasn't a vintage - bad for phylloxera. 1955 was a vintage year in Cambridge. I definitely couldn't get into my - 2 y.o. clothes (probably could into 15/16 year old ones.) @Annb that sounds better but take it easy

BG about normal (7.0 at 2 am, 7.4 at 5 am, 11.1 at 7.30 am). Taken insulin and having breakfast as I sit here so it will probably go down a bit from now on. Feeling back to normal today, albeit a bit sleepy. That's not particularly unusual either. Will have a go at those jobs I wanted to do yesterday.
Don't push those jobs @Annb
You will get a lot done, but after not feeling good yesterday, you need at least one little nap today, or your feet up with a relaxing cuppa.

Morning all from a sunny start to the Feast of Saint John, Evangelist ante Portam Latinam here in L.A. I'm wearing my usual Coronation clothes, always wear the same shorts and polo shirt. @dunelm thank you for that majestic artwork. I hope the provisions run goes well. @Annb, @gennepher and @Krystyna23040 I hope the aches, pains and gippy tums don't impact you as much today. @lindisfel glad you slept better last night - enjoy the bands and marching. Stay calm, drink tea and coffee (with proper cinnamon), eat guacamole, make/don't make quiche but avoid broad beans.
Thank you @ianpspurs. All is now safely gathered in

On the mend, smashing. I have already taken my seat for the big event.

Thank you @gennepher. We also have a chalk board but it’s not very safe for important notes when the grandchildren get at it.

Beautiful Bluebells, what a treat.

You can back up your phone numbers and addresses, to an app @jjraak
I have printed out a paper copy in the past.
Or as vcf files, in my case sent to another device. I think they are called VCards now.

It is about time I did another back up.
But the amount of phone/tablet housekeeping I need to do, I think I'll just take my short cut of taking screenshots of important addresses and numbers, and pop them in a secure location in a cloud...

I think I have a lot of good memories because I make them. I set out to look for the good in a day, done this since I was a child. To explain one instance for another, my cousin's wife was always depressed and complaining and saying how bad her life was (she had nothing to complain about in my eyes, it was just her attitude to stuff). So, I said we would go out in the car for the day, just me and her. I had nothing planned except that you can find the extraordinary in the ordinary. All she kept saying was you can't do this, you can't do that, we can't drive up that road....
She was driving, so I was a bit limited there. Finally I said let's go to this church, we'll look at my Grandma's grave. She agreed. So we are now out of the car, and now I can have some more control. The church lights were on, this church is always locked, and I went to open the door. You can't do that, my cousin's wife said. The cleaner came to the door. You can't come in, the cleaner said. My cousin's wife was half way back to the car. But me being me, talked to the cleaner and persuaded her to let us in. I called back my cousin's wife who was very uncomfortable at this. But she relaxed and we looked around. The cleaner offered to phone for the vicar who was in the Vicarage. Oh you can't do that said my cousin's wife. I wanted the chance to talk to the vicar! The vicar came over, and S my cousin's wife started an animated conversation with him. The vicar remembered me as Little ________ (my name as a child), once I told him I lived at the farm as a child. So I got a few words in edge ways! And I learnt some new stuff about me...Two hours later we left. S told me she had never had a spontaneous day like that in her life, and that was the best day she had ever had.

It is something I have always done, have (good/brilliant) adventures if you like to call it that.
