What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from what looks to be another hotter than a hot thing in the land of daaan saaaf. Managed to steer my way round a shaded route and get over that arbitrary 10, 000 step mark without a murmur of complaint from hip or back. I have been given the opportunity to use a Karcher pressure washer this morning, to clean off the 273, 001 insect remains from my car but it’s really not my prime concern. Art bit, onwards and upwards. Hope you are taking the best of care in this heat. Best get some koffy before the sun gets too high.

They don't call us 'The Tropics of the UK' for nothing ..lol
(Costs a fortune in levelling up , money ;) )

Bravo on the steps & bug count.

Glad you're keeping the big bike.
...honest :bag:

And just remember, no matter how hot it gets , it barely reaches Johnson temperature after he read 'that' report ..

Enjoy the sunny end of the UK.

Good morning all on another summer's day ordered by central casting. To paraphrase George Osborne last Friday evening, what a lovely morning. HIGNFY should be classic this week. @dunelm wonderful news on the step count and lack of complaints from the body - yet? Thanks for the art and enjoy the korefee - iced, iced baby not your bag? Have a great day but do look in your shower for classified documents.
Edited to almost make sense - see below

Indeed what a glorious day .

On a day like this, one just gets a sliver of hope the world is stepping back from the madness, and we're not alone in seeing the horrors perpetuated on us on both sides of the Atlantic .

BG at 2 am 9.5. 8.30 am 11.4. Had to change my sensor at that point and now the meter is refusing to recognise the new one. I suppose I'll have to dump it and try another one. Just as well I have a couple in hand.

The Scenic is coming home today after its holiday in the garage. Somewhat worryingly, we don't have a bill yet, but the garage have said we can pay it in installments, if we wish!

I have been given an appointment for my MRI scan in Glasgow on 3rd July. I don't know if I should be concerned about the speed with which they have set it up or not. They might just be trying to meet targets set by the Scottish Government. No doubt I will find out in time.

Edit: It's actually hot here. Yesterday the thermostat in the shadiest part of the house - the inner hallway - said it was 25C and it is 24 at the moment. That's pretty well 10 degrees higher than normal here. Not really enjoying it.

I hope the scenic is sorted and the bill is sensible. At least the offer of installment - interest free? - has been proffered. Hug for not enjoying the warmer weather. Was it the meter or sensor causing the problem?

Good afternoon Ladies, Gentlemen, thrill seekers, those addicted adrenaline, those who want to be called Loretta while speaking with a male voice.

Earlier this Morening when it was national bin day and the bins were in full dress uniform on duty in this heat and fainting my blood sugars were 5.3.

This afternoon is being dedicated to avoiding the heat, staying hydrated, designing a wood store I have been asked to make and playing 60 / 70’s rock music on the stereo, something I’m not encouraged to do when Mrs J is supervising me, me’s and myself.

Stay safe, stay cool

Sounds like it's going be a Bill Withers kinda day ..

Enjoy.

My new kindle refused to play anything on YouTube. Tried all the fixes on Google. Nothing worked so I had to play my music videos on my old kindle.

Suddenly today YouTube works on my new kindle. No idea why. It almost feels like technology is conspiring against me.

It was the sensor. The new one is working fine.

The installments on the garage bill would be interest free. The owner of the garage used to play with Alistair when they were small - a year younger but a lot more feisty. Maybe that's why the offer was made. I'm hoping to manage it in one go though - if my permitted overdraft will cover it. N is a small business man and can't afford, surely, to have money owing for very long.

I watched 240mins of footage of Cat Merlin sleeping all night to bring you this exciting 4min video....
...and that same bird isinging the dawn chorus is still singing at 14:23=pm outside my bedroom window. The bird is hidden so I cannot see what it is...

YouTube is being a complete AH with me this minute. I wanted to make a Short from my video above, just highlighting the badger for a few seconds, but it wouldn't play ball...I wanted to post clips both together so you could just watch the short few seconds of the badger, but I have wasted 2 and a half hours of a lovely day..and no 8 second short to show for it...
I need a large Sherry...

Technology is conspiring against us all @Krystyna23040

Thank you for sharing that amazing kaleidoscope @gennepher. I very much like your kaleidoscopes and fuchsias are among a select few flowers I find agreeable. Shame about Youtube being a pain.

I have managed to make a short edit with just the badger and posted it on Instagram.
Here is the link.
Not done a link to Instagram before so this is an experiment to see if it works...
