What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Well that trip to town was a bit more expensive than I was planning. We noticed on arrival at the Health Centre that one of the front tyres was looking a bit soft. When Neil had a closer look, he realised that it had worn much more than he had thought so, when I got out it was heigh ho for the tyre fitters for 2 new front tyres. Can't complain - it was £186 and I had anticipated quite a lot more.

DIL has been told to get her BG under control before they will operate on her spine. She's been letting things slide recently and only taking her basal dose but not testing. That's because the Libre sensors keep falling off of her arms and she seems to have lost her fingerprick kit. Alistair came in yesterday begging my spare sensor to be replaced as soon as he can get a prescription for her own. Of course I gave it to him but he phoned later to say it had fallen off as well. So she has had to borrow my fingerprick kit. Unfortunately, my Libre is warning me that I only have 2 hours left on this existing sensor - yesterday it told me I had 2 days left but it seems to have changed its mind. I am hoping Alistair comes in with the replacement sensor this evening, otherwise I'll have no idea what my BG is. Just have to be careful until I can get the replacement.
I do hope that you get your replacement sensor today. A shame that helping DIL has put you at risk.

Not too much risk. I'll know in time if BG starts to get too low - I can usually feel it at 3.3 or .4 - time enough to take action. Might make me feel a bit grotty afterwards but it wouldn't be the first time. Going too high is a risk, but only a long term one and I'll try to avoid that by eating only protein today. Might still rise, but not dangerously so. No worries.

Fbg 6.7

Wildlife nighttime cameras.
Badgers & Foxes
Cat Midnight has come indoors for the night.

Creative is FW acrylic inks, water, hake brush, pipettes, and any odds and ends of paper...

Raining again.
Baby birds have nearly eaten all the fatballs again.
I'd be a millionaire if I didn't have to feed those perpetually hungry little flying beasts...

Time for my morning nap...

Have a good day.

And a cuppa.

Bit of a disparity between meter and libre , meter says 6.9 libre 5.4 think will have to go with meter reading.

Keiran has decided to retile the kitchen so kitchen now in total disarray still can't make an omelette without breaking eggs in fact at the moment can't make owt at all.

Morning all. How you 'doin? In before Bazball rides again today, plenty of tea and h/m gauc on board so the dorys are hunky here. @dunelm hug for the sad death of your dear friend but winner for the glorious riot of colour in the stupendous art. Have a safe journey. @gennepher thanks for sharing both the video and creative which is also stunning. @Krystyna23040 finally a chink in the armour of Mr K - #keygate:D Good news on Archie and the collagen swap. @Annb I hope you soon acquire a sensor. Does DIL use any kind of covering - I use tegiderm. For all those concerned about the Grenn C***, as call me Dave labelled it, the voters of Uxbridge and Ruislip made it clear the comfortable southern English couldn't care less so don't expect any action for at least a generation. Enjoy your own day but mine will involve tea, Bazball and super salmon salad - toasted pine nut topping obs, I'm not a barbarian. :D

She has tried various coverings and none of them will stick. I think it depends on the skin. They never used to stick on me, but my skin has become quite dry in these last few months and now they do - even without a cover. Maybe she could try sticking them to another part of her anatomy which might be more favourable. I think I read somewhere that they can go on the stomach.

Busy day yesterday, had to go early to see nurse practitioner over serious issue with sitting too much and difficulty exercising.

Also Pre booked MOT test on Marjorie's Fabia in pm. Car passed but with emerging issues for future
But I need serious attention to my bodywork!
D.
Don't we all?
We should have a MOT every year from fifty!
Adults pre fifty, every two years.
Children every year till teen, then every two years.
It would save so much money!
Just logical!

Medical tape should work or Gorilla glue!
I know you have tried it.

Thank you @ianpspurs

Thank you very much @ianpspurs

Of course tea drinking and watching cricket is vitally important...
Exactly what I'm doing now!
7.1 this morning! Not unhappy, but this cold just won't shift!
I remember from t.v.made about half a century ago on The Beverly Hillbillies, that Granny's potion for a cold was known for curing the symptoms. However, it did take ten days to work! And having to suffer the dreadful taste of the cure.
Not realising that coldx usually last ten days!
Hilarious!
Woke up cold in bed, the usual, shaking and coughing, and stiffness, about half five. It must have been just above freezing when taking wind chill into account. It's about fifteen degrees now. No rain. Good day for drying!
The wife is still resting and I have managed my chores and shopping, to be able to watch the test match.

I'm hoping the grandkids come around later. Could do with cheering up!

That is it!
Another day in paradise!

Thank God it's Friday!

Hope the grandkids come round but you still manage to watch the cricket. Take care and God bless you and your family.

Great that you have a good plan of action.

Hi Ian,
Hope the immunotherapy went well yesterday and you get some good results.
May you find peace and well being...true shalom.
Warm regards
Derek
Thanks Derek. Next scan is July 30th so I'll be like Mr Asquith - wait and see. Hope your bodywork receives the tlc needed. The Lord bless and protect you and yours.
