What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. No sleep at all night before last and a very heavy carb day yesterday, so a not-so-surprising 11.1 this morning. Does anyone else get to the point where they don't care? Then panic? That's where I seem to be at atm. :grumpy:
In short yes .

A rather disappointing 6.5 this morning. Something very strange happened last night. Two hours after eating a super low carb supper (only carbs were a very tiny, four bites, garden tomato and five small fresh cherries) my blood glucose measured 9.3 (yes, I checked it twice…). This NEVER happens, I’m always around 6.3 or so. I will blame my very sore back only because I can’t think of anything else. Had a nice after supper walk and it wasn’t too hot. My numbers did come down an hour later to 5.8.
and life goes on…
heat wave coming here, starting today. We’ll hit 34 today and 37 the next few days. Bummer

FBG 7.2 at 6.30am this damp Sunday morning.

To be expected, hit Wagamama last night & was so fed up of trying to be careful I had a good blowout. My swim before breakfast increased it to 8.6, but 2 hours after my other nemesis- sausages! - it was 6.6. Sometimes I feel like I live in a parallel universe.

After waking abruptly at 2 a.m., thinking I'd overslept (first day of school for us teachers - yay....) and not falling back asleep again, I was afraid to test, but it ended up at 5.4. Whew!

Happy Monday everyone, and especially to any teachers out there!

6.4 this morning.
6.7 Boooooo!
You have to watch those sneaky carbs! Bought a tray of roast chicken thighs from m&s, after eating 3 of them I checked the ingredients- chicken, brown sugar, dextrose
I've noticed that dextrose has recently been added to a lot of the foods I eat. Having to check everything now.
