What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@gennepher good news on the breakfast but I agree some cyclists are a law unto themselves and a danger to all and sundry. Thanks for sharing the vibrant creative. @dunelm obviously V3 mince pie will have brandy but hell will freeze over before I put flaked almonds in anything. On a list with dessicated coconut, icing/frosting and marzipan for the food police to lock up and throw away the key.

Me too @Krystyna23040 I am the same. I will say in class or a group of whatever, I'm afraid I don't understand when everyone else is just nodding inanely into making out they understand.
Next thing is, they are all asking what they did not understand, I don't know why people do this. What is wrong with admitting you do not understand?
Yes that has always puzzled me also as there is absolutely nothing wrong with admitting you do not understand.

Oh no - I love flaked almonds sprinkled on my breakfast. I will be gutted if the food police lock them up and throw the key away. I shall be gluing myself to the road in protest.

OK you can have an exemption - maybe I'll add Cumberland sausages or fluffy (this is how to spell cardboard) Yorkshires instead just to make up the numbers What are flaked almonds doing in mincemeat anyway? sorry Delia. I can eat whole almonds but flaked ones are just wrong.

I can't eat almonds, flaked or otherwise and always make my own mincemeat (without sucrose, but with plenty of fruit) but no nuts at all. I don't think they belong in mincemeat. I'm with you about Cumberland sausages - so long since I had Yorkshire pudding that I can't really remember what they were like. I do remember being given the task of mixing the batter for an aunt but I don't remember tasting it. I preferred the dumplings my mother used to make (cooked in gravy or on top of stew).

This is a keto beef stew - works best with Ox cheek imho - and dumplings recipe we have made. I was drawn to this as I like dumplings baked, or a separate suet crust topping as we do. Steamed puddings and soft dumplings were on my avoid list from an early age. For some reason mum always made them on Thursday. Since I wouldn't eat them my grandfather would always find a pretext to drop in at meal time.

Thanks Ian.
Yes some cyclists are a total menace...

Had the grandkids here after school. That is numbers five, seven and right, I'm now knackered.
after running around, doing as I'm told, supplying goodies and finding Ra-Ra for number eight, whilst number seven was on YouTube, with Mrs L fussing over them all, the heavy supply of tea and juice, was of course my department. The youngest was more interested in the new trolley that Mrs L uses to get something from kitchen to front room. The granddaughter was showing off with her latest gymnastic exercise.
food is now required, got some ham in fridge.
Gotta go, has not stopped raining!

That looks like a very tasty stew. Ian.

The Badger & the Swing
37secs

Creative is painted in acrylics on a rough canvas paper in the garage!
And then worked on in the warm comfort of my bed this morning on Procreate...
Faces were already there, and then I worked a little on one. Then another face appeared, and then another...and then a corgi appeared...
I am not working on this any more, but it is the beginning ideas of a project I might do someday...

Have a good day.

Time for a nap...

A cuppa first. Still drinking my coffee, but I fancy a tea now...
