What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Evening all.

Hugs to @JohnEGreen for a speedy recovery.

A hug for Marjorie @lindisfel
Maybe the hot toddy is a good idea.

And good to hear you're feeling better @Lamont D

Still no testing here.

A long work shift yesterday left me knackered today, so a day spent laying down or sleeping

As some might remember my mum had Alzheimer's/dementia, so it's a subject I take note of.

This ( very early days admittedly) report of one early sign of onset caught my eye.

Maybe of use in reassuring ourselves or adding to other concerns about ones we love.

Looking back, & from what I've read, increasing concer about money, oddly enough was a clear sign I didn't know about.

None on their own perhaps prove the case, but early diagnosis is recommended.

Anyway link is here for those wishing to know more.

Here's a screenshot of the report note of the test itself.

Good morning everyone on another clear sky and cold start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.8 this am. A busy day yesterday. Can’t think why but we did have a lot of coming and going with visitors in the shape of children and grandchildren. I also had the exhausting job of watching Mrs Miggins through the window as she worked her way down the garden, dead heading roses and doing a bit of ‘tidying up’. She lit the fire last night and even though that usually does the job, the heating (set at 18.5 deg C) came on during the night. I just love these Indian summers - must be quite chilly around the Jaipur’s - global warming is it? Art bit, well, a bit more. Have a marvelous Monday and hope it’s not too manic like in that tune what was writ by Prince. Koffy time!

9.5 this morning at 3.30 (pain killers last night didn't lead to a longer sleep this time). Didn't check the temperature when I came through, but it was cold. Heating comes on now at 17C but not until 6 am. Checked it at 6.30 and it was 13C by then. Added a convector heater to the mix and now it is beginning to feel warm. Thermometer is showing 16C.

Chest and heart rate returned to normal now. Shan't eat blueberries again! Also got over the after effects of yesterday's hypo as well. Now to make it all worse again by attending my "Move More" class a bit later this morning.

Morning all from a chilly L.A. where Hive and the boiler are having some relationship issues. After spending a 2 mug of tea meeting with Cosmo an engineer will arrive twixt 12.00 and 6.00 pm. I'm hoping the heating engineer comes earlier as JKP and myself are needed in Cambs from 3-6 but MIL - nearly 94 - needs heating now. @Annb hug for the cold, good news on the HR and Sats and I hope Move More doesn't upset the apple cart. @dunelm take it easy today after all that supervising and counting the pounds circulating around the heating - weekly budget exceeded by boiling a kettle nightmares. Thanks for sharing the development of the latest art. Have a great day.

Thank’s @ianpspurs and hope that the heating engineer arrives early and also successfully mediates the relationship issues.

Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, I should really write Good Morening, but that might upset the doom and gloom mongers and me and me’s and myself would hate to do that, yeah right.

Blood sugars this morning were a healthy 7.1

Sorry but far too many posts to catch up on, therefore best wishes to all.
Today here in Tilehurst Towers things are being planned and plotted, some involve sorting out an electrical bicycle that I’m storing for a family member, but as always plans have to go through the approvals process.

Stay safe and enjoy yourselves, it is possible.

6.7 on this just above freezing on thermometer quiet morning.
Chores done, but exercising needs doing as back and neck stiff due to the coolness. It is true that your arthritis feels the chill earlier than the rest of you feels it! If that makes sense?
I went to do a little in the garden yesterday as it warmed up, had my gardening gloves on, but still the joints started to seem to irritate with low levels of stiffness and pain. I use the word pain but it is a very low pain, not ache, but you just about notice. Also, the joints do lock, in my hands, similar to your muscles cramping, which can be painful.
Still no roofers, have phoned again, but told the firm doing it, will get in touch, so I phoned and will chase it up. Think I'm being given the run around!
Will be back!
A quiet day ahead, I hope!
Have a decent manic (not) Monday.

Great perspective and detail @dunelm

Cat Midnight has another very quiet night with no visitors...
I had over 150 2minute clips to look through that night, and they were ALL of Midnight. He moves a lot in the night, and he is forever triggering off the trail cameras which take a 2minute clip each time they are triggered off!!!

Creative is those hungry sparrows eating me out of house & home

Have a good day.

Time for a nap.

Take care...

Thank you for sharing the creative of those voracious and colourful (I wanted to type variegated) sparrows.

Thanks for all the hugs over the heating. Percy the pump was stuck in his ways since we haven't awoken him since 5th August service. Relationship between Hive on my phone and the boiler now repaired. Thanks be to God and Larry the engineer :woot:

Is it me or are the spadgers portraying ghostlike edifices with Halloween on the way?

I get terrible joint locks and spasms in my fingers and hands such that I have to manipulate my fingers to get them to unlock - very inconvenient when it happens during driving.
