What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I am having real problems with the forum display which is spoiling my access.
It is not affecting any other site and I can't download any app that would help me.

The line length is ridiculous and one has to allow very small type to get it on one page.
Any of you whizz kids know what's happened?
D

Later I have managed to download ap and it's no better.

@lindisfel this may help but I'm not certain

Before doing this vs after doing this: Before doing this. May be worth a try. Is this Screenshot 2023-10-25 18.13.51.png tool greyed out? If so try clicking on it so it goes solid. Both worth a try. Also before typing press the P tool and select normal Screenshot 2023-10-25 18.36.12.png

6.5 this morning. We are back home after our lovely break at Orford.

While we were away our friend, who is a builder, painted our kitchen and conservatory and replaced a radiator in the kitchen. It looks lovely.
What with that and the wonderful break half term is turning out splendidly. Richly deserved.

Cat Midnight comes indoors before Boy Badger starts pulling cloths off the swing again...

Creative...
The app I used yesterday to paint with, had an update. It's added more colours, more brushstrokes, and more something else. I didn't find it fun last night, so gave up on it. I will try it another day when I can figure it out...

So I went into Procreate to draw some birds more in the style of Lin Fengmian...
I enjoyed doing these birds, I am not sure was they are thinking...except I was thinking of something as I drew them...

Time for a nap...
And a coffee...

That is a lovely picture @gennepher. They are definitely mulling over something.

Evening

Been a good day.

Concerned about hospital visit today, but it went well.

Lots of pictures taken, the retinopathy lotion in action.

Inconclusive but up for debate if the crash trauma caused or exacerbated the issue

(Thin layer at back of eye, seems to delaminate as we age, usually it is a slow process, so potentially the impact may have 'ripped' the layer off like a sticking plaster, causing the sudden deterioration of vision, sort of thing )

So seems it's a real concern, but consensus seems to be it is possible to stabilise & most likely recover/repair it .

An Operation IS required, but with good success rate, so I'm told .

Been given date to speak to operating team regarding my suitability just before Xmas, then if deemed a good candidate op by middle of next year, please God .

So, one worry lessened at least.

Hope everyone's day went as well.
Really good news @jjraak .

A lovely October afternoon, not a cloud in the sky, still a chilly wind but over 15 degrees in my garden.

Phoned housing again, no appointments yet!
Got to phone again Friday. It is so frustrating. Talked to a supervisor, same message.

A quiet afternoon, home made burgers cooked, no batch of course, with a side salad.

Finished a large jigsaw on my computer, just over fifteen hours over three weeks, a beach scene, looking out to the ocean, just beach, sea and sky! Wishing I was there! Oh yeah, in Australia!
Then back home for tea!

I think a night of trek, to offset a busy day! Done too much, as usual!
Well, someone has to!

There is a song - The Coldest Days Of My Life - By - The Chi-Lites. Always gets to me.
And then there is - Toby.
Sad songs, yes! But so beautifully sung and produced.
Chi-Lites their biggest or well known hit - Have You Seen Her? Was an introduction to this group's catalogue of hits which equalled the likes of The Stylistics, Manhattens, Whispers,Tavares, Dramatics, Detroit Emeralds, Delfonics, Isley Brothers and more, that were around and not part of Motown, that were so popular, boy bands of the seventies to rival the Temptations, Four Tops and such.
There is so much music, I mean my type of music, that I listen to and try to keep looking for.
And I found, The Real Thing, In a nightclub locally!

Best wishes to you all as always.
