What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Been turned down by council, my private pension is too much for grant for bathroom modification.
I will explain more when I know more.
If we between us had a means tested benefit (not P.I.P) we would have got it! My pension just disqualifies us for any benefit.
We cannot afford the changes, just so angry!
my next step could be to my MP.
Still waiting for emails.

I can only suggest you claim attendance allowance for your wife. lt may help fund the bathroom.
My b.i.l. got it for my demented sister and never used the money and died leaving most of it to a suspect charity chosen by sister when she was of sound mind 20 years before.
They had a lot of dosh and were mean with themselves.

I have tried mate, sorry, nowt, just the same with the pension one for myself and in bold black letters ' You are not disabled sufficiently!'
So intend to disable myself even more!
What a country!

Surely, if your wife can't be left alone, or if she is likely to fall, she is entitled to claim Attendance Allowance (or you are, on her behalf). I got the lower level of Att All because of my arthritis and then the higher level because I had a tendency to fall over and be unable to get up so needed somebody there 24:7. The CAB here was helpful in getting me the initial allowance, perhaps there is one near you that could offer advice. It isn't means tested.
 
Oh dear, another communication from the DWP by Blind Post free courtesy of the Royal Mail, again with sensitive information and details in it, thus breaking the Royal Mail guidelines for using this free service the Royal Mail are subsidising...this one dated 8 November...

Just had to set up the cd player again with a loudspeaker and my Android phone leaning against it to pick up the words for me on Live Transcribe...

How long before these CD's stop?

It is a different AI woman's voice this time. How many voices does this AI have? Are they all women?

Have tried everything, even the CAB did help. It is just nobody cares. Had this for a long time, been to court and won still couldn't get any benefits. It wasn't until I became a pensioner that she got P.I.P.
And P.I.P.is not counted when asking for benefits, grants etc. Any claim is always offset by my company pension. Losing employment before retirement, seriously emptied any savings and my bank account, which through harsh thrift and cutting out a lot of comfort buying, we are just about back to be able to afford a little bit more. It is enough without extravagance. No holiday, no big Christmas, certainly cannot afford a wet room. This is what Mrs L requires!
The lady from the council, was apologetic and sympathised. And would do as much to impress on the final outcome of the decision of how much we need it. I won't stop trying.

According to our new Home Secretary. Some places in our country are .....holes!
well he has overseen the wreck and ruin of our country, so he should know!
