What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Great planning on your and Marjorie’s part. Mrs Miggins and myself have mirror wills. We took care of the children by sorting out their mortgages when I was fortunate enough to sell my business. They did have to keep me alive for a number of years (now time passed) as the sword of the taxman hung over them. Surplus will go to Cystic Firbrosis, the local food bank and a bit to the British Legion.
Very wise.

I replied to this on the supplements thread:

Ah, Patrick Holford. I wonder if he is still flogging Aloe Vera, bee pollen and other related potions for that big international alternative potions company. Not saying that this is a bad thing but for Omega fatty acids you need to pick your supplement (DHA/EPA ratio and how much). I would be cautious about the industry sweet spot - they get that from what’s in fish. I stick to 2:1 in food. Oh, you might like to look up ALA EPA/DHA conversion in the body.
Witch doctors could be pretty successful. I suppose if you believe in something enough it does work to a certain extent. But it is not likely to cure cancer, unless it boosts your tee cells to those of a twenty year old!

I find it odd that some people as adults get upset when they find their friends have different opinion to theirs..
I think I was about 20 when I last thought everbody should agree with me then those around me would have 'taken me down a peg or two' , can't remember we had snowflakes then.
There must be a good way of dealing with this, like keeping quiet or saying I must go to the liitle room (and take five minutes break).

Helen picķs Marjorie up at 0815 she is taking her to dermatology Harraby.
I hope for a good result on her leg.

Its on an outcrop where they gave rough justice to the Scottish Soldiers who fought in the 45. They hung 'the women from hades' on the walls of the prison which is the site of the clinic.
We always walk in our history and nature, then the modern world doesn't impinge too much.

Helen's delicate eating place planned for coming back.
Not given to my working class tastes.

A late reply here.

Day off ...so a nice lie-in awaits.

Until I'm awoken by Lauren, very early doors, heading out to a gym class,
Flouncing in to wake me with the breaking news of the day.. "lights out in bathroom" .....

Likely unintentionally but definitely in a delicate tone others might not quite detect, that somehow, in some way, it's my fault, sleeping prankster that I am.

Ok, bleary eyed, I get up slowly, but it's an easy fix ..right.....

Oh what a foolish optimist, :banghead:

Bulbs a circular contained unit, but it's the draw pull, that's not working.

Small steps, screwdriver ..aching at each turn of the screwdriver, as shoulder is unable to reach up so far above me easily...and other hand is too poor to hold & guide a screwdriver into place.

Clicky thingy for light switch so NOT working.

Up & down I go, as i to try to fix it.

Finally get it working but it needs swapping out to be properly sure.

Then, it's back to bed.
Pointless doing fbg after that.

So I took my FBG just before dinner tonight....

A PB since accident of 6.4.

3 lamb chops, a mix of Pak choi & broccoli....dessert of blueberries, low cal jelly & double cream ... delicious.

Be interesting what the meter says later on.

Stay safe.
Stay warm.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. it was the age of wisdom - and that wisdom was going back to bed.

Oh ye’ll take the high road and I’ll take the low road an I’ll be in Scotland afore ye.
But me and my true love will never meet again, on the Bonnie, Bonnie banks o’ Loch Lomand.

Legend has it that was written by one of the Jacobite prisoners in Carlisle jail.

Good morning everyone on an up before the Larks here in the dark and dangerous north. So, 5.8 at 0300 and now 7 - blast, best eat something. A day of diddly squat yesterday but did take advantage of the pale sunshine to wander into town on a whim to check out the public facilities and then wander back. I love to travel by whim. Mrs Miggins’ car in this morning for the tyre fitters to squeeze the wallet for two new tyres. Art bit, some of our beach with Huntcliff in the background. If you start your week on a Monday then this is the day! I think that my koffy is now ready.

My best friend was avidly in favour of. Brexit I was of the opposite view it lead to some pretty interesting conversations but never with anger having diametrically opposed views on various subjects never effected our friendship.
Your a mature adult so his your friend.
Some writer related how these fictional tribes warred over which end of a soft boiled egg should be opened first.
Perhaps it was a parable!

Wildlife nighttime video
A wet Jade - then Jade watches the mouse but doesn't jump - then Badger & Fox...
1min

Creative...hopefully this will warm the cockles of your hearts...

Cherry blossoms. I have one cherry tree at the front, and several at the far end of the garden at the back....I do get hayfever etc from them. The ones at the back are a windbreak to the strong winds, so they definitely stay. But the single cherry tree in the front garden is right besides the window I open. The last couple of years the ivy has been growing up it. I was pulling it off, but I don't really want that cherry tree. So this year I have decided the ivy stays, and it is now a safe place for birds and their nests, and the myriad of moths that breed in this environment...

Have your best day.

Time for a a cuppa tea...

Well that warmed me up - smashing

Morning all from LA where the great outdoors looks delightfully bright, clear and inviting but is mostly best avoided by a has been/never wazza like yours truly. No fbg - I won't stab - by now virtually all meals I will eat end up where I started after 2 hrs if not lower with some walking - and MRI at 8.30 Sunday morning could fry either me, the sensor, machine or all three. @gennepher thanks for sharing the all things bright and beautiful creative and @dunelm thanks for sharing your wonderfully observed art. As expected the lamb yesterday was a triumph daahling, a triumph @Krystyna23040, card games were played and Angeball was just about functional. JKP and myself are watching the original Beverley Hillibillies in b and w - can't remember doing that first time as it wouldn't have suited mum and dad though I do remember the theme. Important question - anyone know of a battery heated throw (other than Raynaud’s org US ) since up to 1,5 hrs sitting in a car (in order to be close enough) without the engine running leaves me frez up my Ninny despite 298 layers, hot water bottle, hot drink etc. Some Yummy Mummies just leave the engine running despite all warnings. I have potentially 3 such fun times this week. Have a non Manic Monday.

6.5 at 0430 today. Haven't checked since - I'm having to use fingerprick checks at the moment and my left hand fingers are getting sore (I'm right handed and the left hand is the one that gets the punishment). I should have done something about the last sensor which failed, but didn't get around to it. Just used the original method. I do have a spare sensor but I'm trying not to use it until the due date. That's still a few days away but I might give up before then.
