What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Another Zoe transcript, this time on stress. The 3-4-5 technique is interesting. @Lamont D good points about the first link although I'm increasingly of the opinion that fasting and way of eating may well have been way over played. Says the man who has an 8 hr eating window plus plans and analyses his food in Cronometer daily - just in case some of it may be true. I'm with Swifties rather than being a Belieber as far as lc is concerned:D

Morning all. It is a wet and cool February Thursday in one of England's least pictureskew areas so Howard Keel can have a day off afaiac. Yesterday marked exactly four years here. In the town even from a low start point things ain't what they used to be and the original cast of this close has changed a few times. I thought perhaps Max Hastings was over critical but if anything he was too kind. @gennepher I hope the meal was good and thanks for sharing the carefully observed sketches. Your post did make me wonder just how much a skilled lip reader could glean as a spy or in business deals/politics. @Krystyna23040 bloods went well - Feedback Friday awaits. Enjoy the browsing without Mr K. I don't mind M and S in Cambridge centre probably because of location and memories of very early Christmas Eve with my mum once I could drive: was that really over 50 years ago? I sincerely hope y'all have as good a day as possible - mine requires plenty of tea and a keto scone: they're all the rage among the wokearatti.
I had a lovely afternoon @ianpspurs. Dentist went well. They were very pleased that the antibiotics they inserted into the root canals are doing a good job of eradicating the infection. They will check again in August.

Hope your Friday feedback goes well.

Good morning everyone on what the weather mongers predict will be a snowy day here in the dark and dangerous north. A flat 6 this am - oh well. A walk through the woods yesterday - welly boot route, follow the beck and then along the beach. Funicular is closed so a huff and a puff up the cliff steps and into town. Bus - good man. Extra crispy lamb breast - smashing - masses of fat - not so smashing - poured off, left to go solid in the fridge - into the bin. I suppose you could make a tallow lamp but think of the neighbours. Art bit - and now for something completely different. I should practice this sort of thing. Hope your day is kinder than yesterday. I will have a late koffy.

Another site that is selling stuff.
Another aspect of modern living, we all work in an office and obsessed with technology,
I did like the stress beating breathing exercises. I do have to sit on the side of the bed in the morning anyway, to stop the tremors, I will add the breathing and use it along with the other breathing exercises.
I do believe that stress factors are part of it all, but I also believe there is a lot more to the causes of metabolic conditions.
Not bad!
When in work, being on my feet for most of the day, even doing work, manual work, would be better for your health. Keeping busy away from stress, would also be better. Having good social activity is good.
Most people don't live on computers or their smart phones!
Only some times!!!!!;):banghead:

A run of low 7's now seems this fortnights norms

Appointment with a specialist this morning, checking out my recovery bone wise, etc.

A nice nod to my 'determination' & 'made great efforts' in his voice notes for his teport.

Sometimes we need a good slap to wake us up.
His opinion did that, as I chatted just before leaving about being so disappointed his notes confirmed he doesn't expect me to get back to full health....

in his words "it was a particularly nasty accident, & some horrific injuries' you have come back from, so don't be so dismissive."

Suitably chastened, I now see why the broken window syndrome & tree/woods ideas are so pervasive.

sometimes we need to pan out to get the full picture

A little gloom lifted as I mulled that over tonight.

"Play some tunes, Alexa," led to a pic & mix of various years (times in India really, dancing on the beach ..happy days )

This one came around.
Someone trying to tell me something...?

Either way, boosted my mood.

Won't lie, I sang the chorus with a little too much gusto while waiting for the kettle to boil.

Games not over, but it's nice getting that late goal, to take the game into extra time ..

Come on, Raak FC, You've got this, the inner crowd roars

Great song choice. Sometimes you just have to accept for whatever reason things will never be the same. Love your analogy of taking the game to extra time. I'll go with batting into day 5 not throwing away our wicket. Sometimes Bazball/Angeball needs to recognize reality. Just because you can't win them all doesn't mean you roll over without a hell of a fight. Good man for the attitude and singing with gusto - other meal kits are available :D

You have mentioned a number of times, how well I'm doing!
I want to reciprocate the epithet you bestow on myself!
In other words.

You are doing well, it takes time.
Do what you have to do to improve!I

Know your limitations and because of what you have experienced a 7 is pretty decent! If it was any less. The mods might be asking about your reasons for being here?

Nuff said.

I'm sure there was a old saying that would cover this better but I can't think of one!
Grow one.
Bend over.
Listen to yourself.
Whatever!!!!!!!!

What is a dentist?

The sport analogy that applies is the bread and butter (yuk) of league football. Losing some matches (battles) doesn't mean you can't have a good season or win something at the end of the season. You can always have the bouncebackability of a loss and follow it up with a run of good results.
It is also how you perform and how you conduct yourself.

However cup games, there is only one winner in the end. Which is a downer!
Ha!
The fight in those battles should be evident.

I get the feeling you know this!

Me, me’s and myself feel for you. We think you are doing incredibly well and hopefully one day we can meet up for a bacon sarnie and koffy while chattering about motorcycles and our combined ailments of which we have a few, but then again not to many to mention.
From from one greaser to another.

That would be great.

Who knows, one day maybe

5.5 this morning. Mr K is taking Poppy to the dog groomer this morning so I can catch up with admin and of course drink more coffee.

We were a bit later getting home from Norwich classes last night. Mr K bought Poppy with him to pick me up and it turned into a big meet and greet as class members made a huge fuss of her. She really loved the fuss.

A good day - wider picture, the journey so far, up and at em to the next peak. Extra time and then the next one in the fixture. Sing like crazy and keep the shiny side up.

That is a very interesting article @ianpspurs.

Good morning everyone on a bit of a damp squib here in the dark and dangerous north - still, no white stuff on the weather stone. 5.7 this am and then climbing like an English Electric Lightning up into the gaze of the Hubble lens. There is some shopping to do today - I love a good shop - wander up and down every isle for some indoor exercise but only buy what’s on the tightly clutched list. Then the butcher’s emporium and, maybe, a break in the fast in a waited upon scenario - we’re very Bo-eemium. Asthma review this afternoon. Art bit - another go at a street scene before I switch modes and go off on another tangent. Hope today is minimum on the snowman building scene. I really ought to have more koffy - well, as long as it’s before noon.
