Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

G'Day from Montreal. My morning BG was 5.3mmol/L this a.m.

-What are T2's here experiences with whole grapefruit? I know Grapefruit juice is to be avoided (keto-acidosis) but the literature says the jury is still out on eating whole grapefruit. I had one about four hours after I had my Komboglyze (Saxagliptin/Metformin.)

7.6 on waking but gradually rises after a black coffee shakes head
Morning @PatsyB and welcome back. We're pleased you could join us once again.

Most of us on this FBG thread for type 2s (and the parallel thread for all comers) test on waking; not because it's the 'correct' fasting level, but because logging the reading when we wake makes the conditions pre test as close to identical as possible. It provides a useful benchmark for day to day comparison.

Our BG numbers rise once we start to move around. That's normal and to be expected.
Thanks for sharing

Hi you are probably better off asking that question on the other FBG thread because there is a lot more chit chat on that one :)
