What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone on quite a sunny start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
St David’s day so hope all Welsh have a smashing day - eat gingerbread and marvel at displays of daffodils.
Watched the first two episodes of the newly made series ‘Shogun’ directed and starring the brilliant Hiroyuki Sanada. Looking very good if you like this sort of genre and can keep up with the subtitles for all the Japanese dialogue. Art bit - Indian Ink with a bamboo dip pen, a spray of water and a smidgeon of watercolour. Hope your day goes well. @JohnEGreen, I hope that you are comfortable.
Wow! I absolutely love all this kind of work @dunelm

I agree about @JohnEGreen
He thought a couple of days previously that might be home today.
So, he'll be able to charge his phone again, if he had to continue corridor surfing in the hospital ...

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus. @JohnEGreen I pray you had a comfortable night in more dignified and well appointed surroundings. Hopefully the procedure will take place or has taken place and there will be a speedy return home for some TLC and R and R. @dunelm thanks for sharing the art. March 1st doesn't signify spring Chez P rather the 21st which was my mother's birthday. To my non-scientific mind that date is more in tune with this. Y'all have your own best super salmon salad day. The teapot is giving me the come hither look from under the cosy - saucy mare.

Had a bit of a disaster a couple of days ago. My battery charger will not recharge the batteries for the trail cameras anymore. So I had to order a couple of new battery chargers from Amazon. They came late last night at my post office which is also a convenience store..

The only snag was this morning, to collect them, was that the weather was absolutely foul, teeming with rain, the wind blowing a hoolie, and it's blinking freezing out there. The good thing about going out is that I have got my fridge filled with chilled foods now, and I do not have to go out again.

The bad thing is, I'm now back in bed, cold again.

The final good thing is that I stopped in the park on the way back hopefully to draw some dog walkers, but they're all sensible and stayed in their beds. So, I drew some trees again in the app for my creative this morning.....

So that is my creative done...

Wildlife nighttime video
Badgers & Foxes & Cats
2min 19secs

And my trail cam batteries are charging up for tonight...

And I have a hot flask of tea, a warm living black fur blanket who has a tendency to sleep on my bladder, and a sniffle....

Have your best kind of day.

Thanks for sharing the striking creative. Mixed start to your day but taken as a whole a win. I hope the sniffles go no further and enjoy your tea, I really must persevere with my tea aversion therapy classes. Forgot to share this earlier

Pouring rain and howling winds during the night leading to a dream of the chimney collapsing... MrSlim can investigate the noises that caused this...
Now brilliant sunshine and I as have offered to donate some plants to an acquaintance who is starting up a small nursery nearby. I had better get out there and start digging them up before the rain starts again.
Keep warm and safe as far as is possible

Mrs L is in a good mood and making plans to get an advance on a bank loan, organise a trip, and take a long holiday. Mrs L has even announced that a car we haven't got, is going on day trips, like we did when the kids were young.
I have now realised that most of these conversations are not going to happen cos of her disabilities and the pair killers.
I have also realised that I'm agreeing with her a lot. And I've tried my whole time with Mrs L to not tell porkies and be as honest as I could. Now I'm lying my **** off!!!!!
I hate it. I hate the deceit, the misleading, the truth just doesn't work no more.
Mrs L sneaked downstairs at around 4a.m. To be ready to go the doctors. I found her asleep on the couch.
Of course no appointments.
I got her back to bed by saying, the appointment is in the afternoon and will get her up.

Its clear from the above post that Mrs L is sometimes living in a different reality to yours.
In agreeing with her you are accepting and aligning yourself with her reality.
This is not lying.

You are actually being kind because attempting to insist on your own reality will only upset, anger or confuse her.
Am sure you will have experienced this.
A quote for you:
“If you have the choice between being right and being kind, choose being kind”,
a quote taken from American philosopher, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer.Nov 23, 2018
Its also clear that you are loving and caring for for Mrs L to the best of your ability. Respect for that.

Thank you @gennepher and let’s hope that he can get his phone charged up.

Thank you @ianpspurs and for the link to the equinox - though not Jean-Michel Jarre but you never know and we have the 15th to deal with first - if you don’t get stabbed, settle all debts.

A pendulum swinging ying-yang morning with lots of positives and cool treats in the fridge. The tree sketch is smashing - I like the spontaneity and the use of the white.

Ides no idea what much of that means :playful: but these were a thing again back in the early 70s as Sta Pressed - a crease like a knife. I had some - Et Tu? (No, not Sainsbury's clothing). Oh, and now you've given me an earworm - quite like that chune and the light show,

Sta Pressed and a Ben Sherman shirt - what! No! Not a Lambretta.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentleman and elves and gnomes. There is that inclusive enough for the deluded?

Blood sugars were like this for the last few days
5.7, 4.0, 4.2, 8.5 and this morning 7.6, a right or write old mixed bag, Unfortunately on one of the 4 days I had an hour to raise my blood sugars up to a level where or wear I could safely drive and felt ok to drive. The distance was 25 miles and across the Chiltern hills and Berkshire downs. Hey ho such fun.

Best wishes to @JohnEGreen and @Lamont D.

Here or hear in Tilehurst Towers life is being planned, shopping list composed and my instructions being formulated, Mrs J has found my very old 5 figure log tables for this calculation, but wether or weather Mrs J can remember how to or two use them is another thing. Fortunately Mrs J has not found my steam driven sliderule.

Being of Welsh extraction and today being St David’s day and not feeling the need festoon Tilehurst Towers in Welsh flags, plant daffodils. I know I’m Welsh I don’t need or knead to or two remind myself or anyone else. I shall accept lava bread in bacon fat followed by Welsh cakes.

Time to go and quaff my 10:30 constant tea.
Stay safe all.

spot on.
it has been discussed many times with my counsellor. And to stop any frustrations, or ramping up of my temper or worse than that, yes I do take other options or tools in his words to deflect, calm and help her understand.

It's just so hard to not be truthful.

I thank you @SlimLizzy for your kind words and thoughts.

lovely creative @gennepher.
And of course @dunelm as well.

have got a tickle in my throat as well which usually turns into a cold!

hence the 7.0 FBG this morning.
what a horrible cold wet and windy morning we have here on the peninsula. There is puddles, if not lakes everywhere. Bit better this afternoon. Still far too wet to do any gardening. And to get some fresh air. To do my breathing exercises that @ianpspurs recommended, I think! Gotta go. A friend of a friend is coming round with some goods for our freezer.
My best wishes to you all as always!

Aaaaaggggghhhhhh! Not more best at all. They are drainpipes!
Not oxfords, parallels or supertuf jeans. Two tone suits were at least 16-18 inch wide!

What is the earworm?

Mine today is Do I love you? Indeed I do. ........by Chris Clark. Before you say Frank Wilson, which is the original, I do prefer the Motowns female vocals for the song.

Please do not mention the later cover version of ........ It is so bad!
