What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

6.8 what?
27 degrees in gerden, with a nice breeze across the footie pitches.
All spoiled by entertainment up at the stadium. Big thumping noise like drum and beat.
Parking issues around here with goings on down there and on the youth club footie pitches.
Mopping, shopping, chopping, lopping and of course hopping to Mrs L 's demands.

The only thing rustling is my bank notes going reluctantly to someone else.

Trees and kaleidoscopic is F.A.B. (Fantastic Art Bits)

No time to chat, things to do while demands of watching footie later is in my future plots to try and relax (if it's even possible)
Have your best Saturday.
Thanks @Lamont D
Hugs for you ...

Brilliant activity in your garden @LivingLightly
A rustle in the undergrowth means get indoors...before the badgers and foxes emerge..

Splendid garden activity going on there. What a treat

Yes, a favourite pastime @dunelm that works wonders for my BG levels. Thank you for elaborating @gennepher.

I'm much too inquisitive to retreat indoors, but in inclement weather have been known to observe the goings-on from our greenhouse.
In my back garden at home, the crepuscular or nocturnal rustles in the undergrowth are mostly due to foraging wood mice, frogs and toads (following a downpour) or hedgehogs (usually accompanied by some giveaway grunting).

We're seldom at the nature reserve after dark, but the possibilities are more numerous there. On bat walks and mothing evenings, we have seen badgers, foxes, stoats and weasels, bank voles, yellow-necked mice, shrews, slow-worms, common lizards and, if near water during the day, a rustle and a plop is likely to be a water vole. On a wildlife safari overseas, I'd practice more caution, obviously. Some wildlife could do you a mischief!

Evening all

Saturday's FBG 4.5 mmol/L on waking at 6.00 am.

Has anybody seen the aurora borealis, otherwise known as the Northern Lights?
Last night, there was a clear sky here in London, so conditions were perfect for viewing Searched in vain between 11.00 pm and midnight; couldn't see a darn thing. The light pollution here doesn't help, of course,

Take care everyone and have the best Sunday possible.

Good morning everyone on another sunny start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.8 this am. Smashing day yesterday but the high temperature played havoc with my ankles. I think there will be a lot of lobster looking folk about today. Never understood the idea of sun bathing. Who watched the massive music mess last night? No, me neither. I think that it had run its course quite a few years ago. Sad when such things go all weird and political. We seem to be living in the flight path of some newly made bee colony. I am carefully removing at least 8 or 9 lost bees a day using a glass tumbler and a stiff piece of paper. Wonder if it’s the same few each time - the ones well left of the foraging bell curve? I think they need to improve this famous waggle dance that people bang on about. I would help if I could but I can’t speak bee and my days of choreographing Pan’s People is a distant memory. Art bit - another quite quick sketch due to my meagre ration of time for myself at present. I hope that your day is a good one. Say hello to all and sundry but in randomly picked languages. I like Swedish, ‘Hej’ - it makes folk look around for privet. Best have some koffy.

Mine was as well. Never has been before. My brother (in Swindon) and his wife both had the jab the same week as me. His arm was also sore for the first time, for quite a few days afterwards but his wife was pretty ill for about a week. Must be a different vaccine they are using these days. I noticed that the fridges in our vaccination centre had notices saying that some were one kind and osme others and one was only for use of over 70's. What was that about, I wonder.
The nurse told me that up to now I had only had the Pfizer vaccine but this time they were only offering the Moderna vaccine at this vaccine centre and that l might get a more severe reaction from it than I had got previously from the Pfizer vaccine.

I did read somewhere that they had found the Moderna vaccine more effective for the over 70s - so it looks like they didn't have enough of the Moderna vaccine at your vaccine centre for everyone so were reserving it for the over 70s.

6.0 this morning. Arm much less sore. Feel OK otherwise but do feel incredibly sleepy. Am rather enjoying that feeling as I don't often feel that relaxed.

We are off to Gooderstone Water Gardens to have a lovely relaxing stroll in the sunshine. Am making sure that I take my Montazumas 100% with me as my special treat after our walk so I won't be tempted by the lure of their salted caramel ice cream.

Morning all from L.A. on what should be another pleasantly mild day here 23 °C, sunny with a mild breeze so on the slightly cool edge of shorts and no socks - not an Elbow day. Scan in Cambridge at 11.00 then some sport watching while I glow in the dark for a few hours. Don't call me Homer. @dunelm yesterday sounds wonderful but tiring. Thanks for the art and photo. Enjoy the bbq today. We had one, bbq, Thursday and rumour has it one is planned for the morrow. No doubt Nany's Paddling Pool, aka hot tub, will be fired up. @Krystyna23040hug for sore arm but good if that is a positive sign, @JohnEGreen have a wonderful evening? and meal - 50 years is quite some achievement. Y'all take care now, ya hear?
Hope your scan went well yesterday @ianpspurs

Eric pretty well behaved, nice smooth journey all round.

Two pics I kept back

One I think where Eric & i took a moment to watch the tourist on parade

And another where I felt sure I heard Eric squeak his brakes in disapproval of our Prime Miniature .

I just boo'd & hissed for a moment.

Morning all from a sunny and appreciably warmer L.A. : shorts, summer deck shoes and secret socks warm but marginally sub-Elbow. Two more days of this then UK summer resumes. The cocktail of chemicals floating around my system means I am probably now photosensitive so factor 50 is the best way forward. I've just bought a Tilley hat as well heeled gent I know swears by them. On his head be it - well mine actually. @jjraak amazing photos of Eric's tour of London. Prime Miniature = :hilarious: @Krystyna23040 thanks for the wish for yesterday which was as smooth as the proverbial including coffee with cream for the journey home. Enjoy Gooderstone Water Gardens and the Motezumas. @dunelm stay in the shade, hat pulled down today. Thanks for the very droll post, wishes for yesterday and for sharing the latest art: trees with attitude. @JohnEGreen I hope yesterday was a fitting celebration of 50 years of marriage. Enjoy Sunday mine will include a visit from The Little Guy ™ (his dad calls him chunk, he is a hench little soul) and his big sister - very much the most petite of the 7 grandchildren.

No not seen it @LivingLightly

But I had a conversation on Skype with my daughter in Australia this morning. She told me she had not seen it either, but someone told her that if you take your iPhone and stand there and take random pictures of the sky, preferably in the direction where this is supposed to be and it will magically appear on your iPhone photos.

Do you believe that I said? She grinned and said well I'm going to try it tonight.

Okay, I'll be a fool as well. I'll get my old iPhone out and I'll also get my Pixel out. And I'll be standing there with two crutches shooting random pictures at the sky.... while being surrounded by foxes and badgers and cats and whatever else is out there...

Brilliant pollarded trees @dunelm
Fortunately all my bumblebees and those that live in a colony are only coming for the wild flowers, and the odd bumblebee that comes n the bungalow, I open the door or window and say "Thataway.." with my arm and finger pointing for good measure in case they prefer visual signage...or I might gather it up in my hands (I am told they don't usually sting...so far that has held true...). I love those small ones with the russet silky bums...and yes, I can't resist stroking them...

I remember all that. I used to walk it when I was a child and teenager...

which one is The Serpentine?
I fell in it when a much younger version of myself was stupid. I was staying for a week at my Auntys. Close to Portobello road.
Stamford bridge where the Saxons beat the Danes at 10.66 am.a
I remembered Rovers beating them in '63 there, a facup game during the big freeze.
And also finding myself there when I was in town visiting my oldest niece, whose fella, is a chelski season ticket holder. It was bloody awful amidst those southern softies. But don't mention that I'm a Scouser!
