Happy Saturday morning 4.55
have a nice day you all

Morning @ChrisT2.8.4 this morning after 156g carbs yesterday. About average to good BS for me.
Hi, thanks for the info. I do take a second reading post breakfast 2 hours later and the result is almost same as pre breakfast or sometimes 1 or 2 m.mols higher. It is often above 8 because I start the day at 9 or 10 on average even before breakfast with carbs previous day around 150g total. Unfortunately that 10 or 11 at end of day really seems to screw me up for the following day. I have even tried fasting (no food/drink for 2 whole days) but levels stay pretty much the same. I will keep on monitoring and have a good moan at my next LTC but usual advice is keep taking the tablets. Thanks.Morning @ChrisT2.
As you know, diabetes is a very individual disorder and we're all different. Have you monitored your blood glucose levels at other times in the day?
The most significant factor, barring illness, is the food you've eaten, so you'll learn most by testing just before you take the first mouthful, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Then compare that first reading with the result two hours later. The second reading should be no more than 2 mmols/l above the first one and no higher than 8 mmols/l.
If that's the case, it shows that your system dealt with the arrival of glucose (in whatever amount) in your bloodstream and cleared it relatively quickly. If not, by modifying that meal next time, you can reduce your numbers from where they are now to healthy results.
The FBG reading the next morning is usually the last to come down.
@PenguinMum, Thank you. The cab is booked for 8:30 am. Full day at Clinic.@Estragon best wishes for your tests tomo.
