What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I would be more than happy with a Hba1c of 42 and not worry too much about the daily figures. My morning figures are typically high often double figures but then Hba1c has hovered around 60 for last 5 years or so. It does seem that watching and reducing the carbs is the way forward, not an easy thing to do but others on here have managed and seen positive reductions. Give it a whirl and see if you can influence the figures.;)

I think hba1c of 42 is excellent would love to reach that but know i have no will power
 
It’s been awhile….my morning sugars are always between 5 and 5.5
still doing no dairy carnivore, loving it. According g to Dexcom my average daily readings are 5.8, I have no spikes.
will have my a1c done at the beginning of July but I’m honestly not thinking I’ll be out of the pre diabetes range…we shall see. Watched a very interesting talk with Dr Paul Mason
at the beginning he talks about A1C , how it’s measured and how it’s not overly accurate, a very interesting and easy to listen to talk. He also goes on to talk about statins and more…loved it all!
had a bear in our yard last night, broke the fence and made a heck of a racket but we managed to scare him off. This morning we noticed that our new neighbours had left their garbage out in their backyard and the bear had a big ol party!…leaving garbage outside is a big no no around here.

Your profile doesn't tell us the type of diabetes you've developed and whether treated with medication or diet alone.
Might be helpful to know, if you would like suggestions from members.

Evening @PatsyB. Yes, most of us on this FBG thread for diabetes of all types (and the parallel thread for type 2s) test as soon as we wake up first thing.

BG numbers rise once we start to move around. Testing as we wake makes the conditions prior to your check as close to identical as possible and the result provides a useful benchmark for day to day comparison.

If I've understood correctly, your FBG today was 8.6mmol/L
