What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning team

Off for yet another expert witness today .

Every where in central London's photogenic, this one may be more so than most

So now I've mentioned I'll be forced to take pics and not scuttle home asap in an Uber ....so that's good.

I get a tad anxious over these things, (amongst so much other stuff in life it seems  )

One of my approaches is music...(Savage beats and all that ..lol )

This one fitted today .

If you swap the ocean for tarmac, a boat for the bike & floating over the hedgerows & not the waves...it would be spot on for me.

Enjoy if you listen, if not simply have a splendid day .

Ciao Bella

Genn no subtitles but I chose it for the video.

Lyrics here my friend
Good song choice. I hope all goes well today. Anyone not experiencing some level of anxiety in such situations is probably not well adjusted - I could definitely cite biblical examples. Toxic positivity is not healthy (I often wonder whether it may be an issue in some threads here causing some people to abandon LC through guilt) .We look forward to you sharing photos as, despite the use of the word Mordor by some, many of the nation's best architecture - and some monstrous carbuncles - are to be found there.

A hug @gennepher for cold/xyz & still feeling rough

A tad low on the spirometer for me, but it's all personal best, so good you are fully aware where yours stands .

Sounds like all your vitals have dashed to man the gun decks & kicking back successfully for whatever invader you've had.

So I'm adding a big win too .

Get better soon.
All the best
Thanks @jjraak
It's probably why I am tired a lot because I can't get much more on the peak flow meter despite meds...
I do think the humidifier helps a lot....
I am taking it easy today, don't you worry about that...

Good morning everyone from a warm but wet start to another day in French Froggy France. Lots of books and CD’s were waved adieu yesterday, two car boot fulls but it doesn’t look as though it made much of a dent. Still, slow and steady and mum enjoyed the company of some of her friends who came and helped. She doesn’t have a car so it was good of them to come and help. Gardeners are due this morning to prune trees. The potager is a bit of a jungle so that will be tackled. Art bit - more yeller. Hope your day goes well. Wherever there is life, there is the opportunity for kindness. I will be kind now and make koffy, anyone want one?
A great dynamic painting @dunelm

Wasn't aware of the different process for breaking down leaves into leaf mould, however I have found bagging them up to be effective, so long as the leaves are damp. Dry leaves do not break down. Have pkenty of fungi here.
Two new additions yesterday:
On the walnut tree stump we had to cut down a couple of years ago. Probably the source of the rot.

These appeared this morning. Am thinking Shaggy Ink Cap, but we haven't had them here before. Amazed how large they are.View attachment 70217
FBG 8.10am after a late night and early start, rushing about for an hour or so was 4.7.
Then message from MrSlim, telling me today is Thursday. The expected viewing in 30mins is suddenly shoved back 24 hours. I can breathe again. Have coffee, even go shopping.
Thank you MrSlim xxx
Of course all the essential tasks I hadn't manage to do are still outstanding. So another busy day, but less pressure now.
My garden has plenty of fungi as well, some creature eats them... @SlimLizzy

Morning all from what is currantly a sunny L.A. - very raisinable weather for October here these last two days. Too early for Stir-Up Sunday? No known fbg for me but I do know today is a Saint's day which is significant in both Fenland and for the origin of a word which describes a few recent administrations. The Saint is Etheldreda who has links to both the D and D North and Ely home of the Great Ship of the Fens She gave us the word tawdry

Anyhow, @gennepher good to hear your self care seems to have worked overnight. @JohnEGreen hug for the high fbg and #sensorgate but good that you can see the humour. @dunelm thank you for sharing more of your splendid artwork, as you say very kind of your mum's friends and neighbours. I guess there really could only be one song especially as we are heading towards that time when normally sane folk lie in baths of baked beans for cheridy. I'm off to watch cricket: ball ragging square on a day 8 pitch in Multan, who'd a thunk it? Enjoy all/some of your Thursday.
Thanks @ianpspurs
Beautiful words to the 'one song'

Thank

Great words for the song...

You have a good day...

7.2 this shopping morning.
And I'm knackered.
not a good night.

it has stopped raining.
it is mild.
it was like very froggy, last night around just before midnight.
would have hated anyone driving in that foginess.
like a scene out of a horror film.
And, no, not looking in the mirror!

kitchen duties await, catching up with the sporting achievements of the raw never mind the endless................!

Best wishes to you lot as always.

Hiya!

Reposting into this thread.

Fasting blood sugar is 8.7 at 7 am.
Was half expecting it to be higher, because I overdid things yesterday, nibbled food instead of having two proper meals with a 4to5 hour gap in between, caught some sunburn on my face. Uncomfortable face kept me awake all night, so checked sugar readings out of interest at 1 am...blood sugar was 11. That worried me. Yet I am back to my normalish fasting blood sugar this morning with 8.7 at 7 am.

So I am very pleased with that...I need to find my straw wide brimmed sunhat for today...

Take care and have a good day x
(And wear that suncream and sunhat!)

Squishy wet here too @Lamont D
Squishy ground is not the only thing the heavy downpour last night caused. . There is have small amount of render washed of the front of the house. Actually it's on the stable wall, which is concrete blocks, so is purely decorative, but to me, it looks bad. MrSlim says go ahead with viewing, am wondering if I should send email heads up? Suspect there will be other houses to see after mine as it's 10am appt, so probably not time for a chat.
My immediate thought was cancel viewing and take house off the market.
MrSlim says it will be ok anyway, just tell them he will fix it, however there are other cracks and I have a suspicion it may not be a simple patch job. The whole wall might have to come off and be redone.

my dividing fence has started to go. It needs replacing after the wind first, then that torrential rain yesterday.
I would email, saying about the weather has done and you are gonna fix it. Getting the wall assessed.
I'm certain they will understand.
My garden this morning as I was going to the shops was slug fest time.
When I came back they had done the sensible thing and hid, so I couldn't move them.
Bloody weather, my lawn is still squishy.

Thank you @Krystyna23040
I was very mindful to do the breathing technique you mentioned awhile ago. That helped the oximeter readings improve...
So, thank you for that information.
I hope you are feeling better today.
Am feeling a bit better today @gennepher.
Really good that the breathing helped your oxymeter readings improve.

We are doing the breathing also. It is especially important for Mr K because he has asthma and it should hopefully protect him from a chest infection which he is prone to.

I only wish I had known about this before.
