Creative...inks on a postcard... It looks a bit like a flower in landscape mode, but turn one turn anti clockwise into portrait mode, I see a flower still, but a landscape within and a peacock on the bottom petal.

Have your best kind of day...mine is a hermit kind of day!

Lovely autumnal ink colours swirling around, bleeding together and making little trees

Good morning everyone on what looks to be a sunshiney blue sky thinking day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.6 this am. We are waiting for the arrival of the Ninky Nonks and Little Miss Pamplemouse who are traveling up from Birmingham to attend The Girl In The Bubble’s birthday event. Her official birthday number 5 is on Monday but they will all be at school so today is the day - a bit like royalty who make this stuff up at the drop of a crown. A friend of mine sent me a photo last night that he saw on a facebook page he is on - a group of people at a hotel in London and taken in June this year. He doesn’t know who the people in the photo are are but spotted me in the background talking to a mutual friend that I just happened to bump into. Talk about 6 degrees of separation. Art bit, more red roof. May your day move along smoothly. As Epictetus put it, "Do not strive for things occurring to occur as you wish, but wish the things occurring as they occur, and you will be happy". I had better make some koffy.

Haha, looks like the badgers playing a game with midnight.

I can't see time stamps on insta, but it's the moment the badger seems to cheekily nick some food & the edit cut looks to have midnight going "****......WHO did that"

Scene's timeline is just at the end of fox in title

And yes to the landscape bird too, I see it clearly too

Some off the art work on here of mountains and trees and such kind of made a connection in my mind with a song by Henry Purcell Oh Solitude.

O solitude, my sweetest choice!
Places devoted to the night,
Remote from tumult and from noise,
How ye my restless thoughts delight!
O solitude, my sweetest choice!
O heav'ns! what content is mine
To see these trees, which have appear'd
From the nativity of time,
And which all ages have rever'd,
To look today as fresh and green
As when their beauties first were seen.
O, how agreeable a sight
These hanging mountains do appear,
Which th' unhappy would invite
To finish all their sorrows here,

Morning all from another dull and increasingly cold start here in L.A. I/we/many had a fleeting Brat summer now it is seemingly DOGE winter - or four years. Yes, this too shall pass but there is a definite feel of psalm 79 which events I really don't see made "Jacob" joyful by occuring as they occured. . @JohnEGreen what a wonderful neighbour you are and we all hope all turns out well. Thank you for sharing the Purcell. @gennepher thank you for sharing the video and creative - so much to see or read into that piece. Sadly? my pedant's mind always wants "the" one correct answer to what that is all about, be it a creatve, poem. pericope or anything I read. Probably why I don't really like fiction. Not good when the BCP morning prayer pericopes lately come from Daniel and Revelation. @dunelm what a coincidence over that photo. Enjoy the family time with those grandchildren, treasure comes in many ways some better than others. Thank you for sharing another wonderful red roof piece. They are becoming very where's Wallyish - probably the Etsy adverts are planting that in what is jokingly labelled my mind. @Krystyna23040 have a good but low level ankle stress day in Norwich. Your fbg is NFK - good, not NFN - pejorative. Y'all have as many wonderful moments today as you can.

I am not sure what that badgers game really is....
But Midnight always had that run in with Pa Badger all those years ago (when I called him KissyKissy because he was always trying to 'kiss' Midnight...)
This badger I think is Pa Badger's son from this year. That particular badger family has something in their genetics, which has the 'annoy Midnight' strand...

The choice of editing was not mine, it was the trail camera that malfunctioned again only giving me between 3 and 8 seconds for each clip instead of three minutes for each clip...

Nice.

I see what could be a jungle scene from the lion king.

I see tiny Monkeys drinking with a BIG duck and others at a watering hole.

What the minds eye sees, hey.
Marvellous stuff genn.View attachment 70647
Yes that painting turned out very unusual! There is an awful lot to see in it @jjraak.
Thank you!

You may see what your mind suggests in my paintings...

That Epictetus quote... @dunelm
Is great...
I like the more red roof Art Bit...

defo not scouse.

a neighbourly thing you did for your neighbour.

that is proper scouse poetry.....

A couple of hours ago our neighbour knocked on and told us she was not well and had chest pains so I called 111 and after a few questions they sent an ambulance and she has been taken to hospital I just hope and pray that she will be ok.
Your neighbour is lucky that she has such a good neighbour. Well done for the prompt action, John. Hope that she will make a good recovery.

Em's elder sister saw a picture on the online version of the Daily Record of DIL, Em and her eldest brother labelled "A Stornoway family enjoying their Sunday" (or something like that) accompanying a story about Tesco Stornoway thinking of opening on Sundays. The pic must have been taken something like 10 years ago, without their knowledge and the Sunday part is unlikely since they would not have been in Stornoway on a Sunday back then and in any case, they were not a Stornoway family - they live close to us about 8 miles away from Stornoway.

Happy birthday to TGITB on Monday.

BG at 04.30 was 8.3. Still hovering around the 8 mark.

7.0 this non footie Saturday. No game. What will I do?

Daughter's birthday today. Last one before the chrimbo birthdays in December and January.
Sent cards, they did get there.

I know, DiL has offered to take me Chrimbo shopping.
So we did. Number two trip.
Got a few bits and some much needed paint.
For the small bedroom. And more.
Got Mrs L a nice chrimbo ornament.

Still not done the chrimbo card list. Must be done. In time for the now knackered post office to get to where I want them to be delivered.

Weekend gammon going in the oven later. I'm just into meat at the moment, plus a side of salad, a few eggs, that is me.

Had a little chuckle last night, as we were going to bed. Mrs L slipped off the toilet, as she tried to sit. Just couldn't help myself.
Mrs L got her own back around 4.30, as hiccups did wake me up, Whilst asleep, Mrs L had a hiccup attack.
Did manage another hour after, but Mrs L wasn't aware of it.

Gotta get that there gammon on.

Enjoy the footie free (for me) weekend for me.

Talking to Alistair about Royal Mail scams and he confirms that RM would never send a text message about an undeliverable package. They try to deliver packages two days running and if that's not possible, they'll leave a card for the recipient to let them know when would be convenient or to collect it themselves from the sorting office. They would never make a charge for that service. The only time a charge would be made would be if insufficient postage had been paid by the sender.
