What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Happy New Year everyone. Here’s to 2025, more of this later in this post.

Blood sugars this morning were a not surprising 8.8

Don’t look for me in the new year’s honours list, I’m not mentioned, but I managed something much better I, like us all, woke up in 2025, surviving the detritus that was for me 2024.
A high light was the birth of our youngest son’s son, therefore 2024 wasn’t a total disaster.
Remember a smile gives so much.
Now if nobody minds I’m going into the garden to bury what is left of 2024.

Congratulations to your son, daughter in law and yourself on the birth of your grandson. Enjoy time with him in 2025. Time with grandchildren is priceless: for everything else I find contactless (and /or noise cancelling headphones) work a charm. :playful:

Good morning and a Happy New Year from another starter for ten as we wobble and spin round our nearest star and at the same time hurtle onwards insignificantly in an ever expanding universe towards goodness knows where. Will humans survive the journey or will all other life on this planet give a sigh of relief? 5.4 this am and that’s after a midnight snifter of Wire Works - a small batch English single malt that our youngest gave me on my 70th birthday so lasting quite well. Lunch out yesterday and then a nice wet walk back in the refreshing rain, thankfully wearing some Rohan coats that something deep inside my head decided was a good plan to take with us. Decorations on warning to take themselves back into the attic today - Mrs Miggins is a hard taskmaster and keen tidier upper. Art bit - allegedly the 1460th bit since I received a box of art materials from my mother in July 2020. Anyhow, keep a low profile when it comes to astrology, cheap will writing services, weight loss and exercise fads, strange diet advice and especially of course lettuce water. Can I get a job in the booming industry of making s**t up? The chimp inside my head comes up with all manner of Heath Robinson game changing lifestyle improvements and for less than a mug of java a day, you too……… Talking of mugs, yes, that and I had best make some koffy.

We are still waiting for the weather to improve a bit more before we go out this afternoon. Hopefully it will improve
