What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

6.6 today.
Amy arrived last night and it became very wet with a strong wind.
It is still very windy with intermittent heavy rain. And it's not warm.
And grandkids this afternoon.
I cancelled hearing appointment this morning, they were not happy, however as I explained that I would have to get the bus in the drenching rain, get off bus, walk through to the shop in the wind and rain and be quite wet doing the test. No thanks I said.
Have another appointment Friday.
Mrs L was very good this morning but after a nap is not good at all now. So frustrating.
Kitchen duties await.
I wish you all well, keep safe, keep warm.

This is what we were hoping for when we asked the roofer about it, I'm not sure if it was may or June, but certainly months ago.
Today strong winds have necessitated taking down the wind chimes and the many sudden heavy showers had me playing Honey Cokey with the washing.

The wind is just about only blowing 30-40 mph now.
It has been horrendous since early yesterday, and my front garden as usual is covered in detritus from the autumn foliage of the local trees. Shin deep by the bins. Checked the thermometer and hasn't got above ten degrees today yet.
Mrs L had me up very early this morning and not her breezy bright self today. Very confused about a lot.
Merry Christmas everyone. Lost and found her purse. Need to order Turkey. And a big chicken for New Year. Pigs Blanketss etc. Need some chrimbo cards as well.
Went to shop before lunch and the shops Mrs L wanted, like the cake house was closed being a Sunday. Didn't know during fell on a Sunday this year? Mrs L has me befuddled.

5.6 this morning.
Mr K is in a bit less pain today. Thank goodness. He is beginning to get his appetite back.
We are so lucky to have a little Co-op and post office within easy walking distance, so I was able to nip down to get some provisions.

Am really pleased also that I was able to catch up with emails and other admin. My desk is so tidy now.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.
This morning I have played a prank on Mrs J, it is sure to come back and bite me, but sometimes, well I’m sure you understand.

My blood sugars are still controlled by the hospital and are definitely not to my liking. But one thing the hospital has done is given me one of those sensor things and can remotely read my readings.

Morning all from a bright but still breezy L.A. on a Monday, Monday for Mamas, Papas and everyone else. No known fbg here - sensor in the post though. Really good to hear Mr K is feeling brighter and in a bit less pain @Krystyna23040. Also good to sense your mood brightening with those changes. It will be interesting to see if your heart rate reflects the changes. Good to see you posting @alf_Josiah. An interesting week ahead here although the suspense of one event was kindly lifted well before "the consultation." @gennepher and @dunelm thank you both for continuing to share your gifts of art. Still far too early to cook sprouts, they need at least one frost on them to sweeten them slightly as well as a little help from their friends chorizo and chestnuts: its how they get by. That great chef Al Dente had the right idea. Y'all have a good day.
 
4.9 this morning.

I was telling a friend that Mr K was accusing me of nagging when I was trying to make sure he was following the treatment plan.

She asked me if I knew the definition of nagging. I said I didn't.

She said nagging is the repetition of the truth. Brilliant - I will say that next time I am accused of nagging.
 
6.8 this Monday.
Plenty of visitors this morning.
Mrs L is still insisting that I need to buy chrimbo food.
Preparing for tomorrow as it's #8 birthday.
so plenty of not cake for afternoon tea.
Its been quite a beautiful autumnal day. Clear blue skies, a little breeze, warm enough to start the tidy up in front garden and have an hour in the sun this afternoon in the back.

It's great that Mr K is a bit better @Krystyna23040

BG has been in the 8's all day today - no matter what.

Saw a GP today - a locum as I expected. A very pleasant young woman. She reckons my new pain is just another spread of the arthritis into my sacro-illiac joint and has told me to take up to the maximum of my painkillers, which I have been avoiding all along. She also prescribed some pain relief patches as well to use overnight. We'll see how I get on with that.

Not a pleasant report, I suspect.

But at least you are getting appropriate pain relief prescribed.

Which might be some consolation.
