What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

When we’ve been abroad omelettes are made with powdered eggs, better off sticking to fried eggs, worth trying
Thanks for the advice but fortunately the chef makes a great flamboyant display of preparing and cooking the omelette mix with freshly cracked eggs and milk to order. However the only suspicious ingredients are the cooking oil and maybe milk, I never put milk in my own omelettes, just eggs so suspect that may be the culprit.
However despite the poor start, the whole day continues on a trend of bad choices of which I am totally to blame but more than happy to accept if it means enjoying a late holiday. Obviously I could avoid many of the offerings and starve myself but we have to live life and I know that back home things will be different.
In a way it just goes to show how harmful my life was before taking notice of carbs and their effect on BS and it also shows how even a minor "falling off the wagon" has a rapid effect on readings. Good luck to all in your own challenges.

Yesterday I drove from the east coast of England where I live across country to Swansea in order to see bob dylan tonight.

I’d packed a dozen boiled eggs some amazing jars of roasted peppers in virgin olive oil and some cheeses which made a fabulous non glucose spike lunch

However on arrival in Swansea I was tempted and succumbed to two glasses of red wine and an Indian meal. Of course I avoided the rice, the papadum , all of the obvious carby stuff etc.

Due to the true wonders of the libre I noted as my glucose levels rise from five to just over seven where they stayed for more than twelve hours.

The last time I ate at an Indian restaurant was pre diagnosis , ten years ago !
How was the concert I used to be fan of his music ?

In answer to mojo37

One massive collection of old stuff , cut up and reassembled , reimagined and collaged into something almost unrecognisable. Something new .

2 solid hours of music with not one word of introduction or explanation . No hello , no good bye.

No cameras or phones were allowed in the venue.

Just music

libre 4.2 currently 3 hours after breakfast 4.5 off to london soon :)

knocked back operation due to holiday alongside i would like to meet the neurosugeon go over risks properly PRIOR. Disapointed with late telephone call expecting to drop everything at moments notice. drafting a short letter requesting an actual appt date rather than phone call after 11pm for op in couple of days time. fairly risky lumber fusion which years ago when last spoke to neurology had said it wont fix, just entirely to prevent further degeneration. i tend to heal pretty slowly even with good recent bg control.

6.3 today…what a struggle. I am very low carb, don’t eat after 5, exercise a ton and still….but I do know type 3c is different, sometimes it’s just frustrating.
Gym was lower body weights and a nice walk and chat with a gym buddy. More shopping, at least Costco wasn’t too crazy. It’s very close to my house, I could walk, and going at night is quieter but hubby needed his prescription. I came home with a whole lot of cheese. I love cheese. it was on sale and will last in the fridge for quite some time. Or not…
The Kirkland brand seven year aged cheddar…it is so good…and it seems they only stock it here for the holidays.
A hug for the relentless struggle .
