What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.2 this morning which is better than it has been. WRT eating out I tend to find that eating abroad (mainly in Europe) most restaurants seem to think the majority of Brits feast on chips or bread as sides perhaps with a slice of pizza too. Often there is no alternative veggie option and the salad is a wrinkled lettuce leaf and hopefully a nice tomato. The steaks however are great and thankfully almost a meal on their own. @KennyA thanks for your suggestion of cake as an alternative, must give it a try one day. Maybe it is the silver bullet that my diet has been searching for.

Today's at 0800 - 5.3. I think that's a full week of first thing in the morning testing and that's enough for me for this year. However I see I've managed to do eight readings by including two Tuesdays: never mind.

Tues: 5.1
Wed: 4.9
Thurs: 5.1
Fri: 5.1
Sat: 5.6
Sun: 4.7
Mon: 5.7
Tues (10/3): 5.3

Mean of 5.2 (note, I didn't have a single reading of 5.2)
Mode 5.1
Median 5.1

I guess I can be reasonably sure that my fasting BG is usually around 5.1 or 5.2mmol/l, with a regular potential wobble of 0.5 or so up and down - possibly due to measurement/meter inaccuracy or something else - and I'm entirely unbothered about what the something else might be.

A happy 5.9 today and good numbers throughout my gym workout …..I’m so happy, those higher numbers were freaking me out. Guess the infection has cleared up.
Gym was a leg day and a walk. I had to do a bit of shopping and got some great deals at Walmart…strawberries at $2 pound, blueberries 2.50 a container….sorry too lazy to look at size but it was a good price. I’ll only buy them if they are from Mexico and they were! Those are Canadian dollars btw.
It’s cold and windy today…looks like a week of winter weather here.

My reading was 4.5 mmol/L this morning. I actually prefer the finger-stick method, and my OneTouch Verio Flex is consistently accurate. I’ve never been a fan of CGMs—they feel a bit stressful for me—so I’m sticking with what works. Wishing everyone a great day, Happy Humpday, !

Contour 4.9
Libre had been having a paddy all night saying low most of the time when it actually didnt lose signal ringing Abbotts this morning
3.4 here so I'm another one who has called Abbott. A banana should not produce a flat red line bumping along at 3.4. Tasted divine daahling, divine though. :D
