good evening all :)

4.7 yesterday and 4.6 today

sunday again so a roast beef dinner was on the menu today ;)

We were originally going to barbeque but it's rained on and off all day.

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@gennepher - especially your good self, Many Happy Returns of the day :joyful:

I approve of Popeye's celebration and I do like the colour palette on yesterday's painting, though the crows look quizzical I can see the historic resemblance to the 'plague doctor' masks though thankfully Popeye looks suitably unfazed :)

With a little help from your friend your notes are clear and concise and hopefully you will get the help you wish for when you go for your 2nd jab :)

@ianpspurs - I'm with @SlimLizzy ;) that number is coming up for me in a few months too :D

@alf_Josiah - nice! :)

@dunelm - I like your procreate sketches, the first of the tree is nicely stylised and the colour you have blushed into the background is very effective :) and as ever your rock ridge has a fine sense of scale to it :joyful:

art bit -
thank you for your kind comments on my waterfall painting, it was based on a photo I saw online. We've had some nice evening skies this year. Used a little resist for the flowers in the foreground, painted on Fabriano studio I think ;)

Well a quick update on the food experiment.

Madame rather chuffed I bothered bringing her dinner.

I only had one aubergine, so cut in half and made the main spaghetti courghetti version with home made sauce
( Delicious)

I used other half to make the bite sized cold pieces, but as always tinkered and added slices of fried garlic, crispy bacon bits and a little sliced spring onions.

Glad I did, it was nice but I must have made it wrong as it didn't have that oomph effect matey seemed to have for it.

Main however, very tasty
And even though I cut the half in half to share, with the kofta and cold aubergine it was very filling

Discussing after...we agreed sauces were lovely, cold was pleasant, and better with the bacon onion garlic.
Would try cooking again

Main was a winner, and I suggested next time I'd do it with mince...Madame hadn't noticed it wasn't ..:D

Deffo be doing again.

Next up will be the majesty ..dish 3

A lasagne type of dish

Pretty good meal, and surprisingly if we'd not had kofta, probably wouldn't have missed the meat, if I'd made one stuffed half aubergine each.

And while I didn't test pre meal, I did 2 hours after..7.
Now given I'm rarely under six since accident, I'll take that as a win..:D

Another day of learning
Old dogs, new tricks...my backside.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Night

Thank you @geefull for your kind comments. A beautifully calm evening scene from you, the flowers in the foreground really make it stand out.

Good morning everyone from a bit of a damp start here at our little house on the prairie although the skies seem to be clearing.
No reading today - nothing to get a reading from - poor me, I will have to guess - or use a random number generator.

We were promised more thunderstorms yesterday but they did not make an appearance until about 5pm. Instead, a bright, sunny and very hot day. We walked a stretch of the Cinder Path - the route of the railway line from Whitby to Scarborough that Dr Beeching closed and now part of National Cycle Network Route 1. Luckily, that stretch is well shaded by trees as it did get quite hot. Into Whitby, tried out a new Fish and Chip restaurant in a refurbished bank - Seafood platter from the starter menu was delicious. There was a pieced of battered Haddock included that had to be peeled. Back home this morning at some point.

Another sketch using Procreate this morning, have a marvellous Monday, koffy time.

Hello from a damp start to another week in Forest Heath. Off to Bury St Edmunds today - I don't know how many need burying or why no one did it before but hey, ho. #anklegate review day for Julie. Avon lady around the corner says she has no lippy for Gloucester Old spots (small blacks were a Suffolk breed) so 5.9 on Swipey looks a real fright. Vexed issue of sacking off the Sunday roast with red meat and a glass of red for all time or wearing these beatings. Julie enjoys said meals and a formal eating style. If I'm honest I prefer the taste, nutrition and readings from salmon avo salad and water/tea by a country mile. Put up, shut up and just don't test seems safest - (I was 5.4 at 2 hrs post event) Yesterday was some day, huh? @gennepher turned 21 again, @dunelm found a new eatery and the muse for today's masterpiece, @geefull showcased culinary and artistic skills as usual and @jjraak delighted his good lady with his burgeoning skills as a chef. Torode and Wallace await sir. Independence Day fireworks at 3.40 am here:arghh: Another half day ministering to cuteyMccuteface granddaughter who is too poorly for Nursery and her other grandmother has an eye bleed:arghh: As I said, Avon have no lippy for this job but I'm still in the game. Tinkety Tonk Old Fruits.

Hi guys,
After two rather dampish days it looks like the rest of the week will mainly be dry and pleasant for being out and about.

The next month will indicate what sort of life we are going to have, being older and being personally responsible for catching one handed a gun firing 1 in six bullets automatically.

They have done all they can mate, now its up to you fellar!

Stay safe guys, we are heading for the silly season.

Perhaps it will peak in September and go away or the Omega variant will come on the scene that just takes out politicians.
;)

We must live with a new meaning of data Derek - Dayta(day) need to rewrite objective/observable reality which is inconvenient for The Narrative. Are you not entertained? is how we roll now. Government by performance. Those who paid this piper call the shots. We are now collateral damage in a myth he is trying (desperately) to spin. (I sacked Hancock is a classic.) I have huge sympathy and worries for my grandchildren and the generation above them, all who need to work, run businesses and suffer due to lockdown but other countries have done far, far better at balancing things. Thankfully, we are both still in the game and our hope isn't in BJ or for this life alone.

7.40 am FBG 5.9 Had been up for over 30 mins when i tested so maybe a bit of DP.
Going to be a busy week. We have a man in to do some of the very heavy work. He is going to be taking down a wall and als sandblasting the tar off the back of the hearth, among other things, so it's going to get very messy and dusty. Makes me wonder why I painted the stairwell? The wall to come down is between the salon and the stairs.
Errant is not happy with a stranger in the house.
Has been very wet last night, but looks as if the newly planted brassicas have survived their first night in the ground. I have four still in pots, am trying to find a way to protect them from the ravening beasts that white butterflies produce.
I should check which batch vaccines we were given. Does the controversy about some batch numbers mean they are not effective? Maybe it's better to assume we are ok? What do we do if we had a dose from the suspect batches? Argh!
Edited to correct predictive text error.

Based on enough stress in your life for a legion of people your numbers are truly amazing. Hope and pray all goes well and you find a satisfying answer to #batchgate.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

A cheese fuelled 6.8 this morning on that evil scheming meter. It must be of the female gender .

Here in Tilehurst Towers the day is planned, plinky plonky, walking, socialising, toy tank repairs, koffy drinking and a large amount of telling off's for not doing what Mrs J thinks me and me's should be doing.

I see the media are in full speculation about restriction lifting, never mind. come the revolution they will be first up against the wall. If me and me's were a politician appearing on the Andrew Jupiter show I would tell the most outrageous lies, wear odd socks and pretend to be drunk, then suddenly sober up, just to cause more confusion .

Enough, time to repeat the mantra " Remember the stays ". Have a great day.

Hi Alf,
You would have got on well with the Vikings/Icelanders.
They called the biggest volcano in S.E. Iceland, Mt Hekla.... a girls name and it is very unpredictable. And can seriously erupt without warning!;)
