Thank you @ianpspurs, good to read your post.Good morning all from a sunny - for now - L.A. My fbg yesterday was 4.8 as measured by the labs at CUH. I was not an inpatient it is just one of the three part pre-consultation process. @Annb hugs for all your pain and the watch issue. @alf_Josiah and @Krystyna23040 thank you both for the PMs asking after me. @Lamont D hugs for all your stress caring for Mrs L. @dunelm enjoy the market and especially the time with your grandchildren. I will probably order a Libre sensor so I will post for a few days rather than just lurk. @jjraak and @Lamont D thank you for your concern over Totteringham. Have a sonnet. Is there a garage on the way to market for a card and 4 million lumens torch @dunelm? Moscow, Ho Ho Ho Lympics and rugby to watch. God be with you all.
This is eerily close to a couple I know well. What potion or hypnosis did you use on Mrs Miggins? For most men hell hath no fury ......Thank you @ianpspurs, good to read your post.
Market is just a 15 walk away so thankfully no cards - we keep away from such things at this time of year and Mrs Miggins has enough supplies of lumens in the form of garden lights to supply every working lighthouse in the UK and perhaps beyond.
FBG 7.7 ...I am glad that managers came in to investigate it is appalling that they attached the hoist wrongly ...I have been hoisting patients for over 35 yrs and have never seen or heard of that happening . I hope she is ok and not too nervous about being hoisted now .7.9 at 03.30 today.
Feeling as though I'm going back downhill healthwise. Very cold, but temp is almost normal, left hand and arm very sore again and right arm joining in. Drinking water to combat nausea. Maybe just take some painkillers and go for a sleep and see if it improves.
Talking to my SIL yesterday (my husband's sister). She is an invalid who has home carers coming in twice a day to transfer her from bed to chair and then later from chair to bed again. Yesterday, they managed to attach the hoist wrongly and dropped her onto the floor. Luckily nothing was broken but she is covered in bruises. It caused quite a fuss, with managers coming in to investigate how it happened. Her granddaughter (a police sergeant) also came in and rather unnerved all and sundry with the number of questions she wanted answers to. Anyway, SIL was telling me that she also has discs in her neck which are worn causing the same trouble that affect both Neil and Alistair, as has one of her daughters (and even the policewoman has something similar developing). My husband also had something similar, as part of a much more widespread spinal problem. There must be some sort of weakness in that side of the family which is a precursor to this condition.
Shocked yesterday to hear that a dear family friend who was working for a charity in Tanzania, died. He was a good few years younger than me. No idea yet what happened, but it was sudden and totally unexpected.
Lovely to see you posting here @ianpspurs. I am really envious of your fbg.Good morning all from a sunny - for now - L.A. My fbg yesterday was 4.8 as measured by the labs at CUH. That sounds scrumptious, @Pipp5.8 before cooked breakfast of egg, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, and my Sunday treat of real bread, fried in the bacon fat. Copious quantities of black coffee.
Love the sabbath. Family time.
That sounds like a perfect day @Pipp5.8 before cooked breakfast of egg, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, and my Sunday treat of real bread, fried in the bacon fat. Copious quantities of black coffee.

I hope Bonnie is a pet, not a human. Was not sure if I should post this.
Please don't read this if you are about to eat.
My head has healed beautifully after my encounter with black ice.
At last today the scab fell off. It dropped on the floor and before I could grab it Bonnie snatched it and ate it. That is so gross. It surely couldn't have tasted very nice.
My sabbath is not the sort of Sabbath I experienced as a child, which had church in the morning, and Sunday School in the afternoon, with not much other activity at all. Winter Sundays were filled with boredom. With cold dark days, and not much to entertain children, except books and imagination. That sounds scrumptious, @Pipp
Enjoy the family time as the good lord provides.
Long may such times be enjoyed.

She is a 14 month yellow labrador. She is a typical hungry labrador. Actually, that is not the most disgusting thing she has eaten.I hope Bonnie is a pet, not a human.

Yes, I do agree that they wouldMy friend’s cat pounced on baby’s umbilical chord when it dropped off, and swallowed it, before she could retrieve it.
I do believe cats would eat a whole human if they were big enough.
