Dictators who positively go out of their way to force misery, tears and fears, upon their countryman's lives.
Politicians who, in dealing with dictators, have a wishbone where a backbone should be.
Oh my goodness, there's some gorgeous looking pets in here.
They're all beautiful, I'm really attracted to one in particular but
it would be unfair to single out. I guess though, we all must have
an animal we could call our favourite.
Anyway, our three children grew up with our very docile and lovely natured
(we could do anything with her, as you can see, poor dog. lol ) whippet we
collected from our nearby dog sanctuary.
She died of cancer of the bowel at 15 years old, she only survived a
a week after it was confirmed.
You know what it's like, we were all devastated.
I decided to take her back to the vet on my own the Saturday of that week
I was asked to lift her up onto the vet's bench then step back a couple
of paces?? There was a female assistant facing me on the other side of
the bench as I lifted the dog up and as I stepped back.
The assistant suddenly turned round to move towards the vet, as she did
so our poor dog fell off the bench, and I couldn't reach her quickly enough.
I was so angry, but I was too distressed at having our dog put to sleep
to say anything.
The vet then came over, gave her the injection and ........nothing.
Now, we'd to have a pet dog put to sleep years earlier, and I know that as
the needle is withdrawn, the animal keels over immediately.
I asked the vet why our dog was still standing there. Oh says he, that was just
a tranquillizer to calm her before we put her to sleep.
I couldn't believe it, he was about to "put her down" (with immediate effect)
but she had to have a tranquillizer prior to the lethal dose. Unbelievable.
What, in effect, the vet was indulging himself in was taking advantage of his
clients emotional state in order to include two injections in his fee, rather than
just the one that was required
I should have reported him to Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, but as the following
dragged on I didn't feel I could do it just then. Time went on and I let it go.
He's still in practice, his day will come.
willie.
PS, hope your cat's ok now RRB.
