I am Type 2 and am trying hard to get off medication (I have worked my way down from Gliclizide and 3 x metformin to 1 metformin.
But I am unclear if my BG test in the mornings should be at the point of getting out of bed or just before breakfast ( ie after shower and dressing etc ) .
I do not drink very much alcohol usually a Preseco or champagne on the very odd occasion, but there are times when I would like to have a drink when out, other than water is there anything anyone can suggest that won't send my BG thru the roof ?
I have been used to lower levels but was taking Gliclizade then, this has now been stopped and I am now just on Metformin but the BG levels have increased by about 1.5 per test. It's really on the high end with nowhere to go.
