Advice to get your numbers down when doing your finger prick test

Since taking this my readings have crept up I take it before breakfast and tea time can’t get to see diabetic nurse about this has any body else had this issue

I’m on this insulin I have to take it 30 minutes before breakfast can you have a cup of tea before the 30 minutes is up

When do you take your metformin just done my insulin injection got to wait 30 minutes then eat do I take it after tea

I’m stating new insulin next week going on humalin 3 10 units at breakfast &10 units at tea anyone on this any advice please
