    Well today I received my hba1c it was 39, fricking normal.... 13 months of low carb.... Hbac1 down from 46-39, No more water infections....no more nerve pain, I have gone from a size 22-14,I can't thank this community enough.

    Luckily we have both been double jabbed, keto has made a huge difference to my health and to be honest even with covid I feel healthier than I have for a long time, plenty of fluids, paracetamol and keto food, shame we can't taste it unless it has tobasco on it:playful: o_O x

    So the hubby has tested positive and I'm waiting for my results back. my fasting blood glucose was 9.1 , they are usually 6.5-6.7. Is this typical ? I'm still sticking to keto. I do have symptoms, they aren't to severe. Luckily we had gone shopping the day before so plenty of food .

    So been doing low carb high fat for a week, can't thank all you forum posters enough. I am amazed how well I feel, brain fog is gone. Loads more energy, I feel so good. Don't think I would thank you for a carb at the moment.:hungover:

    Thank you for replying, I'm so glad I found this out, you know I don't really see it as a bad thing, less chemicals I suppose, I have just eaten my first avacado...... Wow... roasted it for 15 mins with some paprika and cumin.... It was so tasty....avacados are the cake of the future for me

    Thank you for replying, I will cut sweeteners and diet drinks out. I did tend to have about 1ltre of them before my prediabetic diagnosis. I suppose this demonstrates the importance of testing bloods. How much damage could be done in the year between blood test from the doctors

    I did a reading 2 hours after eating a low carb high fat meal, it was 4.8. steak, carrots and kale. Didn't have anything to eat afterwards but had 2cans of diet coke, . When I came to have some supper, cheese and olives, I did a pre food reading and my levels where 10.1, again the next morning...

    Breakfast, Sausage & scrambled egg. Lunch, tuna sunflower oil and left over cauliflower cheese mash. Dinner beef kofta curry made with tomatoes, carrots, beef mince , fried aubergine, and 30grms rice. Blood sugar before eating dinner 5.6 2hrs later, 10.5:eek:....white rice is not my friend x

    So I have been doing my blood measurements before the first bite of a meal, and then 2hrs later. this is how it went, before breakfast 6.5 Breakfast, 2 wholemeal toast, 3boiled eggs.margerine. 2hours after 11.0 Breakfast, before 7.9 ,had 3 egg omelette with mushrooms. 2 hours after 6.6...
