Hello all,
There is a lot of diabetes in my family, including my dad and both my grandfathers. A number of my uncles also have it. I'm a 31 year old male, with a BMI of 21.1 (67kgs @ 5'10").
I had a full blood workup when I was about 25, including blood sugars, and they did not mention...
It has been 8 weeks for me on the very low carb high fat diet as a T1D.
In the past may be 2 weeks I have noted this mild high-pitched ringing on both sides, fluctuating a bit if I am walking
like it is sort of pulsing a bit but not when at rest.
It does not disturb my sleep and if I am occupied...
Hi everyone
I don’t have diabetes but have a very strong family history of T2 in 2 first degree relatives
I would be considered at risk, aged over 40, raised BMI and lots of steroids due to asthma!
Really keen to decrease BMI and risk of T2 using LCHF approach
Can anyone recommend any LCHF...

Dear all low-carbers.
Yay, FBS was 4,7 mmol/L this morning, the lowest in years, but OhNo, I've gained almost 2kgs since Monday. What's going on?
Since the end of March I've been cutting back on carbs, and have lowered my A1C from a whopping 13,4 mmol/L to an average 6.5 mmol/L, or an...

Diagnosed T2 but very high chance T1.5 (awaiting test results) I've been observing a virtually carb free diet. I'm talking lower than 50g per day. I've had to or suffer high readings and all the thirst and peeing in the world.
Low carb, low fat is near impossible so my fat intake has...
In January 2012, I received my diagnosis of type 2 diabetes when measured HbA1C at 99 and a fasting blood glucose of 19.6. I had at that time a doctor I strongly questioned both then and later. I had for about 6 months pointed to my physician I suffered from several symptoms typical of diabetes...

Has anyone heard of Cowspiracy? I got a leaflet through the door saying a screening of this film is being shown at our local arts centre. I looked it up and apparently it's all about the 'destructive' animal food industry. I watched a video on Diet Doctor that said there are a lot of myths...
