Next up for us a trip to Old Trafford to face the mighty or not so mighty Man Utd on Boxing day. Probably get battered there.

You weren't great in the first half but gave us some squeaky bottom moments in the second half, and I really thought you were going to get one back in extra time . Frankly Man U aren't the force they were, in my opinion, so I wouldn't write the game off yet. Good luck against them - I always love to watch Man U take a beating

But I think we are still lacking and we need some more players from the January transfer window. The gap is now 4 points between us and safety which could get wider if we don't pick up in the new year.
As for Man Utd well they seemed to play better under this new manager than they did for Murinho.

Another loss on our travels!
However we had more than enough clear cut chances to have won quite easily.
Our striker who is leading scorer and being touted to be moving in January to a championship team, was really bad, as chance after chance laid on a plate for him, went into the stands. Another huge following didn't deserve this result in a really wet Gigg Lane.

Ok well that's Christmas almost over and today is a footy day. Our lads make the short journey over the Pennines to Old Trafford to face Ole Gunnar Solskjær's back to winning way's Man Utd. I'd like to hope we catch them on an off day having over indulged in Christmas festivities Guess we shall see.

Got beat 3-1 did well to get 1 goal I suppose. Rock bottom now with the gap of 5 points off safety. Oh well see how we fare at Fulham on Saturday that will be a 6 pointer for sure.

Saints play tomorrow Arsenal kick off at 5:30pm tonight.

A bumper 7400+ crowd in!
