Anti-scream thread

Walking?, Trees?, surely those are Ents! Whoom!
Please put me out of my misery. Are Ents walking trees in the Hobbit or something else. My mind is searching the memory banks but finding no more apart from I feel like I've seen a film with them in (and I've only read the Hobbit)

Yes, well that's why hubby took the picture - the rainbow. He was hanging out of his upstairs study (den) window if I remember correctly. Kinda stressful
Ents are Tolkeins walking trees Lord of the Rings
Must've read beyond the Hobbit then. Got the LOR books too, just don't remember starting to read them.
Thanks.

A particular favourite of mine - but as an added bonus at this time of the year, I can watch the local bat population doing aerobatics at sunset. Wonderful and strangely restful.

When I was young and foolish, I used to find certain types of herbal cigarettes very restful but nowadays it's more likely to be single malt Scotch that does the job. :)
Ah, yes, the Jamaican woodbine - very therapeutic............. Except it also makes me crack up laughing over absolutely nothing, and then I get the Raging Munchies. ;)

Nope, really don't know what you're talking about. At all. Honestly. Ahem.

As a strange coincidence, I was planting a Heavenly Bamboo in the front garden this morning and someone walking past asked me if it was anything "naughty"! And then told me about a garden down the road which has a hedge of it alongside the pavement! (If anyone wants to know where it is, I'll tell them for a fee.)

Nah, 50p is well beyond my spending limit lol :p

Which isn't great, but at least if it goes through the washing machine, it won't be a small pile of goo.

(Edited to add a full-stop. Boy, OCD, anyone?!)
Oh I can empathise with that - I seem to spend longer editing my posts than writing the **** things in the first place!

Lovely thread.
For me:
Meditation
walking with dogs, especially beach or woodland or rolling views
that perfect cuppa sitting in garden
zoning out in a hot tub
mopping the kitchen floor. weird but true. always loved it
days out, unless the traffic is bad
that glorious morning lie in, knowing that today is Saturday
and yoga, that utterly peaceful end to the session

I go back and edit my messages if I notice a mistake even if half a dozen folks have already "liked" it and it's unlikely to be read again. I use, wherever possible, full punctuation in text messages too. I mean it's not like the old days of 15p, or more, for each message. Txt spk was vital thn

Btw, got a "cannabis" incense cone burning as we speak

Ah, yes.... the hot tub.... early morning or late evenings..... fab!
And any time you feel the need to de-stress @Brunneria, I'm happy for you to consider my kitchen floor as your own!
:)

I like to listen to music, walking is a good a de-stresser, especially the countryside, rivers and beaches too. At the moment, with a new man in my life :) he makes me smile and I look forward to seeing him, which is a lovely feeling that I haven't had for well over a decade
