Newbie here adding her take ... I'm not a huge bread fan (unless it's sourdough or Tiger bread, then I can bought for a loaf of that

)
At no point have I been told to cut anything out of my diet, neither here or away from the forum. I have however been told to watch my carb intake and now know that normal wholemeal spikes me (cheese sandwiches for lunch the other day). We have brought some low-carb bread, both seeded and wholemeal, bot of which seem high at 9g per slice, but it means that in a hurry I can grab and go, which is how I intend to use it and then build into my daily allowance.
I appreciate that for some people spikes are big issues, and I certainly do not have the knowledge or inclination to tell someone else how to manage their diabetes, but if a spike is a one off for me I'm prepared to accept it. We generally won't buy Tiger or sourdough unless it's a for a treat anyway, and it will remain that way - a treat.
A little of what does you good - if you are prepared to see it as a treat, it remains a little and you can prepare for any results.
No food porn for me - other than the usual cheese/salad cream, cheese/red cabbage (vinegary bread - yum) sandwiches growing up!
