That was my first try of Cauliflower rice, no carbs no sugar no fat low calories brilliant, they omotted on the packet no taste no enjoyment
Only got it as rice pushes my blood sugar so high :/

Was it the ambient packets? I agree they are tasteless. Try grating fresh cauliflower or I buy Tesco frozen Cauli rice. You do need to liven it up with something though, plenty of salt & pepper & toss in butter or a few herbs & garlic or tossed in spices. But ordinary rice is also pretty tasteless & bland without those things too in my opinion

I did wonder about some extras in it like turmeric pepper mixed herbs chille powder ginger and anything else I could find in the spice bottles you have but never use

I don't think I have ever eaten cauliflower just on its own - it mostly serves as a base for curry or is mixed with cheese, and I use herbs and spices quite a lot.
Cauliflower cheese is one of my favourite small meals - I cook the cauliflower until almost ready, drain it and place it in a dish warm from the oven, mix in cream cheese, sprinkle on suitable herbs, cover with hard cheese - I use red Leicester, then return it to the oven until the cheese is melting and very lightly tanned - allow to cool before serving.

I use a lot of Tesco Cauli rice with curry and Chilli Con Carne. It also makes a great stir fried rice

I find that it is a perfectly acceptable alternative to rice. It has a nice texture and doesn't affect my blood sugar. I use a CGM so monitor the effect food has on my blood glucose levels.

The lack of taste is what makes it versatile. Kind of like chicken. Doesn't taste like much, so you can do anything you want to it. :) Personally I've gone for loads of cheese, Italian or French herbs, curcuma/tumeric, lovage... Mixed it in with shawarma or gyros, ground beef or anything else I might think of. Rice doesn't taste like much either, until you do something with it, after all... ;)

I use a real cauliflower and a grater to create fresh cauli rice. I then dry fry it with some herbs and spices, like cumin seed thyme salt and pepper, for 5 mins.
Finish off with some butter and serve. Delicious. Just like rice it is a carrier for other flavours.
