Thanks for the link, BB. It makes me weep to think about all the miss-information re “good carbs” in the form of healthy grains that has been thrown at us over the last fifty years. How many lives have been affected adversely by this? Grr.
By the way, I like your new avatar! Congrats on getting under the 200lb mark (!j

No refs given but from David Diamond tweet, Pharma finally admitted that up to 20% of statin users will get side effects and some to the point that they can either not even tolerate a lower dose or that they cannot tolerate statin treatment at all. Since the advent of PCSK9s however that number has jumped to 40% of statin users. Be still my nasty suspicious mind.

If I find the references I will edit to add.

Edit. Found the ref but cannot access it.

Just working my way through a new book "Deep Nutrition" by Dr Catherine Shanahan.
Great read especially on seed oils and why they are best avoided. As well as debunking all the usual cholesterol rubbish.

Not sure if this will work but saw a great facebook exchange between Richard Morris (one of the 2 keto dudes currently studying for a biochemistry degree and Nick Mailer.
I'll try and upload the screenshots of the conversation ( I have both of their permissions)

There was a post somewhere which I can't find. It was how to compare non-fasting cholesterols with fasting cholesterols. There was a calculation. I was meant to fast for my lastest blood test but had to eat during the night to raise my blood sugars.
