I have just been diagnosed with diverticulitus. So my low carb/ high fat diet has gone out
of the window. All the foods that I was eating, now I can't. Nuts seeds, my snacks :(
I had a flare up at Xmas and hadn't realised that what I was eating was giving me all this pain.
I've lost my way a bit with the LCHF as I'm having to really be very careful to what I eat.
I am still testing and my readings haven't gone above 7 ish. My stomach can't handle
all that heavy cream either. I can cook with it, but nothing else. Strawberries are out
as are anything with small seeds on them. Blueberries are OK while on a high fibre diet
which I have to be on with this illness. So cereals which were a no-no on the LCHF, I now
have to eat as part of a high fibre diet. I have been eating a few gluten free foods, but have
to be really careful as the sugar content can be high. It's a vicious circle as I don't know
which way to go. :arghh:
