Up at 5, left for gym at 7, drove 10 miles there, left at 9,drove 12 miles to work, left at 4.30pm for a 5 mile drive home, no way was I going to detour anywhere for anything

Workout after lunch:
4 x 6 min rounds, each round as below with 16 kg bell
a. 2 mins swings (1 min L, 1 min R)
b. 2 mins cleans (1 min L, 1 min R)
c. 2 mins shoulder press (1 min L, 1 min R)

4 x 15 inverted body rows
2 x 50 press ups
4 x (25 squats + 25 lunges)
4 x 25 ab crunches

No it’s an old one I found on my phone, but yes I have done it, was allowed to do the pull ups on a bar, & single unders, no other concessions

Hope the BGs come up into the 5s .. wishing you well .. try taking a BG measurement with the strip. Direct from the blood .. the libre is from interstitial plasma, can lag behind a bit ..

It was with the glucose meter, libre was saying 4.9, decided I don’t like wine gums
Sons gone to Bolton, I’m staying at home with my feet up

I find doing a couple of workouts even shorter ones better for me than just a long one
Looks like you’re eating more as well,
You’re FBG is still really good even with the statins, you’ve got this
Hope you enjoyed the film last night & it wasn’t too girly
Gym again before work, easier Peleton ride later

Workout
4 times around bodyweight circuit below:
a. 15 inverted body rows (nice and slow, 5s up, pause, 5s down)
b. 50 press ups
c. 25 squats
d. 25 hindu squats
e. 25 dead bugs

Total of 60 rows, 200 press ups, 200 squats, 100 dead bugs

Decided to just eat Huel for a week or so. So that I can have a a very tight control on my macros, see how tat affects my FBGs. Perhaps I can bring them down a bit to counter the effects of the statins a little bit.

Thanks for the support Debbie, much appreciated.
I have noticed though that I'm back to multiple trips to the toilet at night now that I'm on statins, FBG is up by 1 mmol in the mornings. Could be worse, but I will keep an eye on it. So I am definitely producing less insulin while I'm taking them, the body is doing the best it can to remove excess BG without the insulin. The trouble is that you can't get the specific tests done that you need to see what is really going on. Also a lot of research suggests that high insulin + high LDL cholesterol is the real driver of cardiovascular disease. Let's see how the blood tests look in a few months. I have a feeling I may have to go really really low carb to keep things in control.

Agree about 2 shorter workouts. Does have a good effect. Probably much better for us with our sedentary jobs too. Not good to be sat at a desk all day long. Happens more when you work from home.
