Crown prep (broke a tooth) he actually asked me if I wanted it numbing or not, injection site a bit sore but not bad enough to not go to the gym or work
Still can’t get any blood test results, checked gp records, rang gp surgery, can’t even get in a queue to speak to receptionist, rang old DSN answerphone, rang nurses at hospital answerphone, just going to have to be patient & wait
I always thought everyone floated on their backs in a swimming pool
Hope you’ve had a good day
Oh man .. can't believe than you can't get the blood results!!
Do you have a number for your diabetes consultant?
Give them a call and chase it if you don't get some results soon. They'll be annoyed that no results are coming as they are getting charged for the tests. Good luck.

LOL, no I sink like brick. Not everyone floats, my bones and muscles are very dense. I can't displace enough water to support my bodyweight, to stay afloat I have to keep moving forwards to get the hydrofoil effect to keep me afloat .. makes swimming very tiring, but great exercise!

Great FBG you’ve really got this
100v ups brilliant, they’re hard
Sprint intervals on treadmill planned this morning & gardening if it’s warm enough
A lot of RAF low fllying at 3.40 this morning, don’t normally fly much at the weekends, think they’re preparing for something
If I’ve had no luck getting results by next Friday I’m going to ring the consultants secretary (MODY test takes 2-3 weeks) so hopefully I’ll know by next weekend
Enjoy your day

I hope the RAF are not preparing to get involved in the Ukraine war. That would be disastrous. It is a bit of posturing. This is the nuclear age, we can't shoot down Russian planes or bomb Russian forces.
Really hoping to see a diplomatic end to the war with a stable peace as soon as possible. Incredibly sad to watch it all unfold as it is right now.

I love murder mysteries and sci-fi/fantasy. Reading something that is a combination of murder mystery and supernatural thriller called All That Lives at the moment. I'm a big audiobook fan for fiction books. Listen to them on long walks or when working out.

Fingers crossed for getting that MODY test result soon :)

Sounds like a lovely day out with your mum. I bet she really enjoyed it. Mum's are ace. Stubborn but ace! LOL

Have a lovely Sunday!

Good morning
RAF out again at 03:40, wasn’t hungry all day yesterday so didn’t even have a toast dinner
I’ve never tried an audio book, prefer to read, couldn’t listen to one exercising, although daughter does on long runs
Mondays come round so quick, got a pt at 8 then straight to work, much prefer to stay home & read my book today
Hope you enjoyed your weekend, have a good day

Sounds like the RAF are definitely trying to send a message with those flights.
Hope your weekend was goo.
It was a quiet one here, dodgy weather, daughter was sick with a bug last week so haven't seen her since Sunday. Will be seeing her tonight though so that's great. So just chilled, did some French lessons. Nothing good on at the cinema, so watched a bit of TV and took it easy! Not bad once in a while .. but glad I'll be busier next weekend.

That Peleton and treadmill sound great.
I'm missing my punchbag workouts .. taking it outside today .. even if it is a bit cold.
Blood test for A1c is next month .. should be out of diabetic zone .. fingers crossed!
Got a blood test this morning to check if the statins are causing any liver damage.
Off to the GP now! :)

Have a great day.

Daughter was great last night .. she's grown in a week I swear!!!

Fantastic FBG & workout as usual
Your doctor does blood tests?
Exhausted all my options again this morning, gp surgery has the same message going round & round, old DSN answerphone, Lincoln answerphone, I’ve now left a message & they’ll get back to me within 48 hours, but if it’s urgent to ring gp, getting really fustrated now, sons still at the gym & running late & I’ve got the peloton on ready,
What’s the betting you’ll get your results before me

Oh my word. I can really understand your frustration. That's just crazy.
Thankfully I'm a straightforward T2 so it is all handled by GP and luckily I have nothing that requires me to see a specialist at the hospital. The GP tells me if I need a blood test, I make an appointment to have the blood taken by the nurse at the GP surgery. They take it and send off to labs. Results come back in a week (usually in a few days). The GP surgery is very good, very well organised and you can really see the effort they have put in to their processes. Whoever manages it has done a great job.

They do the same for my mum for any blood tests that the GP orders, nurse at the surgery takes the blood and blood sent off to labs, always very efficient. She sees a consultant at a specialist clinic at the hospital for her arthritis and muscle inflammation conditions. If her consultant needs to check her bloods she'll take the blood and send it to the lab. The results come in post and get sent to the GP also. The consultant will call if she wants a follow up chat on the phone or a face to face appointment to go through anything. The consultant is amazing, very efficient and considerate. The consultant would chase if the blood tests ever didn't come back to her. She's in control of it all very nicely. If mum needs to discuss anything she calls her and her secretary takes the details and the consultant will either make an appointment or call if it is something that doesn't require an appointment.

I really feel for you having to chase so hard just to get your blood test results back. Looks like no one has ownership. I'd personally be asking my DSN and/or consultant about the process next time I saw them: "Why are my blood test results never coming back? What is wrong with the process? It should never repeatedly unless something is broken in the process. Who is going to resolve this?" If they are asking you to get blood tests done, they should be really concerned if they are not getting any results.

The very best of luck. Keep chasing. My results better not arrive before yours! If they do, you must raise a little hell. You're getting the short end of the stick, but so are they! They are paying for these tests!

Enjoy the Peloton when your son gets back. Big hug!
