Great FBG & workout, I’m assuming you’re getting over your cold now seeing as FBG is back in the 5’s
Best match on Tuesday has to be Nadal, been a fan since he started playing professionally, son has had most of his kits over the years & plays with the same rackets, Serena Williams match was also really good
Hospital appointment rubbish, eyes have deteriorated slightly, doctor had no idea why as blood sugars so much better, got to go back in 3 months, if they get any worse injections or laser may be needed, so fed up, had to force myself to eat something, not hungry, really don’t want to bother
Todays a new day, hopefully better than yesterday
Have a good day

Oh my .. poor you! Your BGs are so much better! Who did the eye test? Local optician? .. Was it the retinal camera test? They should be sending it to your GP and the Eye Hospital as a matter of course so that an eye specialist can look at it. Good that you're back in 3 months for another. The good thing is, it is one of those things that improves with better BGs over time and can be helped a lot with medication too, to prevent any sight problems. I know it is horrible to even have to think about, but do try not to worry mate. One of my uncles was an Ophthalmic surgeon in the NHS, his wife was too. She has a little bit of a retinal issue which would upset me in her place to be honest. But she is very matter of fact about it. Says that as it is not affecting her sight at all and it is being monitored and can be treated if it gets worse so it'll be fine. My uncle is pretty much of the same mind. And he's not one to do nothing about such things if he feels there is a potential problem. Your BG levels are very good now and consistent, this issue can improve with time. So sorry that you're having to deal with this .. hang in there!

It was the specialist at the local hospital, in there for an hour, gone back to taking omega supplements today, he couldn’t understand why they had deteriorated & no suggestions either

You're doing a great job with your BGs, they are consistently so much better. Keep doing what you're doing it'll be ok. Greens like spinach and broccoli also very good for the retinal health. Hang in there. It'll be ok. Give it time.

Hope you’re feeling a little better today, take as many rest days as you need
Had to cut gym short & longer stretch, wasn’t feeling it, probably more tired after 14 mile bike ride than I thought
Gym challenge this month walk, jog or run a mile a day, felt really good to run outside yesterday
FBG up again today so something needs tweaking yet again
Rest & enjoy your weekend

Feeling better but not 100% so decided to do a nice easy paced resistance workout

  • 4 x 15 inverted body rows

Feeling much better today, still not 100% but not feeling like I've got the metabolism of a sloth anymore, waiting for test to arrive. Going to isolate until I'm sure its not COVID
