Oh my word mate. That sounds so tough. How're things feeling physically?
Hope you begin to recover soon.
Why are they saying that you need to eat more?

Hang in there. It will pass. Big hug.

Told to eat more as doubled medication on Friday, they don’t want me to hypo, more chance of winning the lottery without a ticket
Felt good to get barbell out, coughing put a dampner on it though,
Feel hungry & sick all the time

Poor you
Those anti-inflammatory steroids can really make you feel like you're running on empty.
Don't worry, you'll turn the corner and start getting better.
Keep sharing your blood glucose levels with them so they know that they are staying consistently high. Ask them how long they'd be ok with them staying so high. They may have good cause to be cautious but good to hear when they think their recommended protocols would need to change.
Again big hug. Hang in there.

How are you today mate?
I’m at work, eating lunch & looking lovingly at the peleton
Got up at 3 coughing, made a cuppa & stayed up, cough every time I talk or go into the cold
Hopefully these new tablets will work quickly, only been to the gym once since Christmas
Haw are you all, any luck with a new school?

You must be shattered! That's really rough.

Been very tough over here to be honest. After an initial flurry of engagement by teams with various acronyms it has all gone quiet. The kid's problems are escalating .. need to get her in front of someone from the paediatric core team for a full psychiatric assessment to really start getting help. That's where the bottleneck is. All the other teams are just there to try and provide some kind of running repairs until a proper assessment can be made by someone who is qualified if you're unfortunate enough to have serious mental health conditions. School application has gone off. Waiting to see what happens next. She needs more than counselling or support, but there will be no meds or prescriptions until the core team sees her. It is a broken system, have to wait it out as best as we can.

Hope your husband is doing ok?

I am so sorry you are going through all of this. The system is definitely broken, without going into too much detail mental health has been cut so much. CAMHS made things worse for my son but no two kids are the same and hopefully it will help when she does get the help. Its just juggling until its sorted. Just make sure you get counselling as family also as heaven knows you will need it, it takes its toll.

Thank you Lainie. Your know exactly how it is. People care, but the process is very much oriented around protecting the overrun core services. We'll get there. Thank you for the kind and supportive words. Much appreciated.
