Hba1c result

Was diagnosed in May 2017 with an hba1c result of 95.

Came to this forum and started on an Lchf diet.

Have lost weight from 130 kg to 104.

Got my result on my hba1c today and im down to 30!

No pills or insulin. Just hardwork, diet and alot of help from you guys.

That's fantastic. Any tips for those wanting to follow in your footsteps. My hba1c at diagnosis was also 95 back in September.

Nothing spectacular. I have quit carbs for the rest om my life. I never eat anything ever that contains to much carbs.

It sounds boring/hard but you actually get used to it and to be honest its alot harder to avoid carbs if you eat them now and then.

I was a sugar/carb addict (i used to love my sugar) so i have to avoid them.
 
Hi all hope this is a good place to post my latest results and say a big thanks for all the advice I received earlier this year. I managed to get my surgery to post my medical record online so I could see clearly the progress I have made following low carb and advice from this forum. Summary in my signature of progress but main details of latest bloods:
Ha1bc = 38 or 5.6; Weight 76 Kgs (6 foot male); Cholesterol 4 Trigs 0.7l Cholesterol Hdl ratio 2.9.
Feels OK but lots of work to do - a bit like an away draw at a tough ground rather than a win. Main takeaway for me is Low Carb works and support from this forum is priceless.

well done there, mine was 103 1st diagnosed july/in September 52 but with x3 500 metformin, were you offered medication

Yes i started on metformin but stoped taking them when i stopped having high morning bs.

Ate them for a few weeks!
